Peon and tweak are feminists. It's funny how they act like men aren't entitled to complain in support of their gender while women get all the leeway they want. We will never see peon or tweak responding to a woman in the same manner when she talks about women having Iit bad but when men talk about men having it bad, its open season to ridicule them.

Well, there is the detail that the paper cited is about squirrels having it bad.

K.

Which detail are you referring to ?? I fear that in your haste to construct a straw man that combines a few of your fav pet hates - feminism post modernism etc - that you are imagining another "oppressed minority" where none exists. Translated into everyday English, and reduced to its essentials, all the text in the OP states is that the feeding habits of squirrels are interpreted by the "popular mass media" in particular cliched representations that reflect the dominant culture's values. Not a word about "oppressed minorities". Perhaps you have been listening to too much (shock! horror! gasp!) Sean Spicer ...

However, despite your gross misinterpretation (so gross a misinterpretation that it suggests you haven't the foggiest idea what the author is trying to say) I hasten to add that the squirrels of this world must sleep a little easier at nights knowing that they have your good self valiantly and gallantly looking out for their interests.

Your selfless diligence on the squirrels' behalf certainly deserves some reward - a bag of nuts sounds most appropriate wouldn't you agree? So go on and treat yourself - you deserve it!

What he'll do when he finds out that the American grey squirrel converted to islam on being introduced to the UK hardly bears thinking about, does it?

You cannot imagine the visuals Im having about the black and the grey squirrels in my back garden now being different religions. With the way they interact, its a hilarious train of thought...

The religion of squirrels is an insufficiently researched field, sadly: the WWF told me to piss off when I approached them for funding to look into this.

Black squirrels are aggressive little buggers. Probably radicalized nutters. Keep an eye on em. They might be plotting to overthrow the Greys and declare your yard a sovereign state.

The native red squirrels are fascist bastards, Peon, but the immigrant grey squirrels are moslem jihadists...

Quite true, my dear WM.

Hey, I did a Godwin on a thread about squirrels; you invoked Islamist terrorism. We should be proud of ourselves!

Well, there is the detail that the paper cited is about squirrels having it bad.

Which detail are you referring to ??

The detail that this poor cohort of Eastern squirrels is being "subjected to gendered, racialized, and speciesist thinking," oh my!

Glad to help.

I have not made a habit of expressing any kind of generalized dislike of feminism. Particular feminists, on occasion, perhaps. But not feminism as a broad category. As for postmodernism, I don't think I've said much about that either. But as you've mentioned it, I will happily take this opportunity to refer anyone interested in what you are defending to the Britannica entry.
