I'm guessing they were armed....I mean,security detail for the majority whip on duty,I'm assuming they're packing,probably just a 9mm glocks, but packing AND TRAINED...that means there probably was an armed counter attack on this dumb fuck,and that being the case,a congressman still took at least one bullet right through his pelvis(Ouch).Just a few inches north and that woulda gone septic instantly...

Just looked it up,and this fat fuck was just on the other side of the dug out behind third base,and congressmen Scalise was just across the field,leaving practice,at the exit behind first.

So it looks like There Was a few trained good guys with gun's at this one might have made the difference between life and death,and of course there is still much to be said about some fellow with plenty of questionable warning signs that the press has managed to dredge up in...how many hours since the incident......being able to legally buy firearms ... recently .....
but still,my underlying question remains,
Will Scalise see gun rights in the same light now?

Right, good guys with guns stopped a bad guy with a gun.
He got the gun in Illinois where they didn't enforce the law..
As you say, you don't understand gun control issues.
This is not about guns. It is about an unstable person and bad enforcement of the law.

I gave you the precident on chaging because of an incident like this and they didn't, nobody expected Gifford to change her position and she didn't Wallace didn't change, Reagan didn't change.
