Status: offline 		North Korea says US 'mugged' its diplomats in New York

North Korea has accused the US authorities of "literally mugging" its diplomats at a New York airport.
A spokesman for the secretive state said its officials had been "robbed" of a diplomatic package at John F Kennedy Airport on Friday.

North Korea's state news agency KCNA said the incident proved the US was a "lawless gangster state".
The White House - which considers "solving" the North Korea crisis a priority - has yet to comment.

Status: offline 		When you openly threaten to reduce the US to a heap of ashes and openly test weapons purportedly soon capable of doing so, what do you expect ? The red carpet treatment ?

I agree that all this shit should be moved out of NYC, for the same reason that Washing DC is in DC, not any particular state. The founders of this country made it that way to try to not have favoritism to any one state. However their type of wisdom has been long abandoned before the building of these agencies.

Surprisingly, you are not "blaming" Trump, even if there is blame to go around.

The guy who got his brain reduced in NK SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THERE. There is one thing that people do not seem to get, the US is not going to use the full weight of its military might to get one person out of a bad legal situation with an enemy country. They think they can just go anywhere and do anything they want. Well let that guy be a lesson. The fact that the US could obliterate that country in five minutes means nothing if they won't do it.

Status: offline 		I know that both had their faults and various shortcomings, but I'm not alien to the notion that Catherine the Great and Maria Theresa might be better options than what we have now, though I'm not going to advocate exhumation to that end.

Just something like them, you know.

Or did you mean Alfred The Great? My bad, if so: "the great" was a pretty safe title to stick on a monarch while they were still alive. Alfred and Charlemagne had at least done more to earn the title than some of their peers.
