According to police sources, Muslim Mohamed Noor shot across his partner and out the window of the squad car, striking Damond. When Noor opened fire, his partner was "stunned," according to the source.

So... Who do the pussyhat rioters throw under the bus in this case. A bit of a conundrum?

It's the white's fault, right? By default?

(Yeah, I know, I am a terrible person because my heart doesn't bleed profusely for every stranger who dies, I get that)

Status: offline 		This is a terrible tragedy. The dead woman was here three years from Australia living with her fiance. She called 911 for a potential prowler. She was standing in her pajamas talking to the cop at the wheel. The cop in the passenger seat fired his gun through the driver's window without any apparent reason. it is bizarre.

Here is another case where two police officers gunned down a young mother of three or four kids in her own apartment after she called 911. She had a knife in her hands. The cops had notice that she was a mentally unstable person from a previous encounter. Without telling her to put the knife down they killed her within 12 seconds of their arrival in front of her kids.

How can we trust the police with guns in their hands. Women especially need to fear calling the police for help.

How can we honor cops who go out each day and do a commendable job when their colleagues are gunning women down for no reason?

Still nothing on why he fired.
That said shooting across the body of his partner when the partner never seems to have seen a reason for firing is, to say the least questionable.
The article makes an attempt to prejudice against him by pointing out the three complaints against him. One is dismissed and the other two are
under investigation. The facts should convict him as is. He had better hope something in his favor big time. I can't see what it would be.

Status: offline 		I can tell you this incident is getting headline new coverage on all media outlets here.

From my conversations with people, there is little patience with US police, who are felt to be "trigger happy" and even less with the US's bizarre gun laws that contribute to police and general societal paranoia and heaven only knows how many deaths every year. It is disturbing that, despite being equipped with bodycams, neither of the cops involved had activated their cams when the incident occurred.

By all accounts the dead woman was a gentle peace loving soul who wouldn't hurt a fly. No one here has come up with a coherent explanation as to why she might have been perceived as a threat to anyone ... but everyone wants to hear the facts of this matter

Or perhaps he felt threatened because she wan't in a thick heavy black burka, and didn't have the required male chaperone while outside of her home
