That's just a fancy way of saying deport her, best you don't put those ideas into their heads. I was trying to remember if there were two statues, and cant quite seem to remember why, or when, they gave America the statue in the first place. The Statue of Liberty is a figure of a robed woman representing Libertas, a Roman goddess. She holds a torch above her head, and in her left arm carries a tabula ansata inscribed in Roman numerals with "JULY IV MDCCLXXVI" (July 4, 1776), the date of the U.S. Declaration of Independence. hehehe those cheeky frogs...get it up you Britain.

I don't think you have to be better educated...but you need to be able to communicate in English, be able to support yourself, and have a skill to contribute. I see nothing wrong with these requirements...do you? Remember these requirements only give applicants a favored status ...They don't prohibit those that don't match entry unless all available immigration slots are filled... or at least that is the way I understand it... Could be wrong though. Butch

When the statue was being built in France a smaller version was built first. Not sure whatever became of that. There is a smaller scale version of the statue in the middle of the Susquehanna River, North of Harrisburg, PA, don't know if that is the original from which the New York Harbor version was scaled up, or if it's just a later replica.

I know (and I was laughing) whoremods - Anyway I am sure they helped the Americans in a battle or two or with tea or something - not really my area of expertise of waffle. One statue though - why did I think there were two, or is that more a purloin obelisks’ from the dessert lands and repatriate them to civilisations. KDsub many countries already do, well some do to an extent...and by fuk we cant get any nurses now....well from the EU as an example. Skill shortages and an ageing population are the enemy of UK USA etc – the Germans aint daft. Come on you never thought there 1 million a year through? - probably arm up in the next decade or two, too ;)) I was reading a story about some sand dweller yesterday - within 4 years of coming to the UK (his parents sent him here alone now was that from Afghanistan or somewhere) he had his Doctors degree from the UK (seems a bit fast that) within 4 years and from Cambridge fook. He now helps people for free via the ether and works weekends in AE to fund that work. I can find the story if you want – yes I know what you are saying in a way as you will know what I am saying :) Thing is I fuking loathe discrimination in any format that is hard coded into me.

There have been many changes in the immigration policies over the years and this one makes more sense than most... Have a look back and see some changes made under Democratic ruled congresses...I think Trump is incompetent but I won't be a hypocrite and disagree with every policy he comes up with just because he proposed it. The circus surrounding this proposed legislation is ...as usual...because of Trump's incompetence...But the substance can be easily separated from the right wing political rhetoric. Otherwise this was not Trump's idea but he goes for it because he can play it for more political support in his base... But that in my opinion does not make it a bad immigration policy. Butch

FR Things change. The Constitution has been reinterpreted. The second amendment is clear but now you need a permit. You have the right to free travel but now you need a driver's license, in fact in some places you meed a license for a bicycle. So maybe it is time to change the inscription on the statue. We got poor, huddled masses and all that. We need innovators. Actually many immigrants are self sufficient. If they don't have much on the way of skill they open a convenience store. They pay their taxes, as much as anyone else anyway. Almost everyone who has a chance to cheat does. The ones who automatically get welfare and housing and whatever are usually refugees, and the US government made alot of them refugees in the first place. The problem is they want to kill us. We have to stop immigration. There are not enough jobs for us, let alone a bunch of people from other countries. The inscription on the statue of liberty was written in a time when we had alot of wide open spaces. What was the population then ? Well it is 325 million now and that is enough. People in other countries look at our population density and think we should be taking people in, but what they do not realize is that you just can't live in some places. Some of it is desert. Some of it you are 150 miles from the nearest grocery store, not to mention 150 miles from the nearest job. What other country just lets you come and move there ? T^T
