The southern edge of the Path of Totality runs about 20 miles north of where I live. I'll probably be making a drive far enough north to get the most benefit I can get. Got my viewing glasses yesterday.

I hope to get pics. I don't know about video. It depends on where I go. One small town about 40 miles from here is supposed to be the second best place for viewing in the country, but I want to avoid the crowds. LOL . . . they've been trying to bring in porta-potties in preparation of the thousands of visitors they expect, and they aren't able to find enough.

Solar Eclipses only Ever happen during visits of our alien overlords when their mothership obscures the sun. We no longer have to provide suitable distractions i.e. Virgin sacrifices, because the global conspiracy to deny the earth is flat and blame the solar eclipse on the earth and moons positioning was successful. At one time, when virgins became scarce, our handlers were forced to come up with this complicated conspiracy that has been a catalyst for the creation of umbrella corporations such as NASA and the much needed moon landing farce. But if we're gonna play the "Trump is great for stocks" game, then reality is, Obama ran circles around him.

I forgot to do the harbinger of doom line didnt I. The 2017 Perseid meteor shower will peak on the night of August 12 and early morning of August 13....before I forget. You can probaly see them now if you are prepared to sit outside a couple of hours. But peak days are always the best and once a centuary or greater you will get a rare show the sky in falling type. No Solar eclipses to share, nor meteors, not comets, sorry but lets see if I can put up some lunar eclipses I have been lucky enough too see - sorry the other side of the site is still playing up
