Yes it is... I've many milky way shots... in fact that night i took the meteors in one direction and the Milky Way below in the other.

sorry I was digging about for another site but here :) that is the Skype cam women - and that is her picture of my lands: 2 eagles, Stirling Castle and mountains (ours are small) - bitch, I have only ever seen one eagle :) in my life - but heh there you go. (grrrrrr)

Very nice... my lands are not that dramatic... If you have an Iphone download PhotoPills and you will be able to find the Milky Way at your location... also THIS to see if you will be able to see it through the light pollution.

ahh the constellation of Orion... the Milky way is just to the left. The Orion Nebula is just a little below the belt to the left... I took a picture from my home ...but not a great one...see below.... not too bad for a 400MM lens with stacked 7 second shots
