The "pay to not play" is not precisely guaranteed, don't forget, they also murder Muslims who want to leave and those Muslims who wanna leave aren't given a choice to "pay to not play".

And the protestors no matter how angry they are getting shouldn't ram cars into the counter protestors.

Both are at fault! Equally!

And the Counter Protestors were just there to cause trouble in my opinion.

They wanted to disrupt the Protest. Start a fight. And they have succeeded.

But I bet without a doubt zero people will get hurt IF there were zero counter protestors there. But I know counter protestors are angry and wanna protest, which is why I feel, it should be law, counter protestors must protest on a different day and are not allowed to go near the protesting site on the protestors day itself.

There is an easy prevention for such things. Instead of screaming at Trump for giving 50-50 blame. They should talk about how to prevent this from happening again.

Denouncing Nazi is NOT the solution. As even if Trump denounces Nazi, so what? The next statue that is gonna be mow down, they will still protest again, and counter protestors will come again and fight.

Keeping Protests and Counter Protest apart from each other is the solution.

And another weirdest fucking thing I read is, 2 people died from the helicopter of the media, covering this riot. Helicopter crash or something. Did anybody read that?

But they claim it wasn't because of the riots, it was just a freak accident.

So WTF, a whole helicopter crashed for nothing too.

A group of people gathering to protest a statue. How is that causing trouble? Women March went on peacefully.

Now a group of people gathering to protest opposing Protestors.

That is as good as one gang confronting a rival gang. Guess what happens in that scenario? Usually some gang members get hurt or die.

But a Group of people of the same gang, standing together, protesting some stupid statue.

Nope. I don't think there is gonna be any trouble.

And it would be much easier for the police to keep them inline, not having to worry about counter protestors coming in and inciting violence, blowing the whole tension up.

I wish I could say that I am surprised but I am not. Trump has incited and harnessed the very worst kinds of racist hate since his infamous "Mexicans are rapists" speech at the beginning of his candidacy. Nor can anyone say that they weren't warned, they didn't know what they were getting - they were warned multiple times.

No one will look to the US as the leader of the free world, or the standard bearer for liberty and democracy as long as this obscene grotesque hate monger remains in office.

It's the most bizarre, unguarded, naked hypocrisy I've ever seen from our national leaders (and that's saying something), let alone a president.

This can't end well.

It's also the dumbest thing I've ever seen a president do (and again, that's saying something).

In the aftermath of Saturday’s Charlottesville, Virginia chaos — a physically violent conflict between disgusting white supremacist alt-right thugs and repulsive Antifa thugs, which culminated in a murderous attack by an apparent alt-righter on the Antifa crowd and other miscellaneous counter-protesters, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to another 19 — the hot takes have been coming fast and furious.

Here are some of the things you need to know about the awful events of yesterday.

1.. The Alt-Right Is Not Conservative.
One of the hottest takes from the Left is that the alt-right represents the entire right — that what happened in Charlottesville, Virginia represented conservatives broadly.

Thanks, however, to their online vociferousness, they convinced members of the Trump campaign, apparently including the president, that it was important not to knock them.

3. The Alt-Right Has Been Tut-Tutted By President Trump And His Advisors For Over A Year. Yesterday Was Nothing New.
President Trump’s initial response to the attack in Charlottesville made no mention of the alt-right or white supremacy or even of racism. He simply stated, “We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides, on many sides. It has been going on for a long time in our country — not Donald Trump, not Barack Obama. It has been going on for a long, long time. It has no place in America.” Trump, who has been fully willing to call out radical Islam, had nothing to say about the alt-right. Some Trump defenders point out that Barack Obama never condemned Black Lives Matter in the wake of riots and shootings of police officers, either.
But Obama was wrong, and his wrongness is not an excuse for Trump to sit by and do nothing.

On Sunday morning, the White House used an unnamed spokesperson to release a statement:

An unnamed White House official says Trump condemns all forms of hatred, "and of course that includes white supremacists, KKK, neo-Nazis..."

Why didn’t Trump just come out himself and say the same? Because he tut-tutted the alt-right throughout his presidential campaign. He refused point-blank to condemn the KKK during an infamous exchange with CNN’s Jake Tapper in March 2016. He refused to condemn the alt-right targeting Jewish journalists like Julia Ioffe in May. His chief campaign strategist, Steve Bannon, was head of Breitbart when Yiannopoulos wrote his screed, and openly stated that the site had become “the platform for the alt-right.” Sadly, Trump has shown willingness to accept support from any source, no matter how despicable.

4. The Car Attack Was An Act of Terrorism.
The alt-right piece of human debris James Alex Fields Jr., 20, of Ohio, apparently deliberately drove his vehicle into counterprotesters and Antifa members. That’s an act of political violence no different from the car attacks of Nice, France or Jerusalem or London Bridge. That’s terror.

See, here's the thing.

That's exactly what I would have thought, and did think, until the last few days.

But look at the continual focus here in the thread: it was the leftists. Right vs. left. Us vs. the leftists. People have stepped up and owned comradeship, on their own, with the alt-right white supremacists.

Likewise Trump. First he said little, the disavowed the supremacists only after pressure, and decided fuck it, let's make it a leftist thing instead, aligning himself by implication with the supremacists.

Wtf?
