ORIGINAL: ThatDizzyChick quote:
The phrase make no law is in the Constitution is in the 2nd, No it is not. 2nd Amendment: quote:
Amendment II A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. https://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/second_amendment Do you see the phrase "make no law" in there anywhere? No you do not, because it is not there. Where is it? Right where I said it was, in the 1st amendment: quote:
Amendment I Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. https://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/first_amendment Do you know where else it appears in the Constitution? Nowhere. That phrase appears only where I said it did. I will give you some friendly advice here Bama, do NOT argue with me about the U.S, Constitution, I know it and it's history far better than you ever will, I know the damned thing inside out, and you obviously don't know a fucking thing about it. quote:
and you favor gun control. I do? Where do you get that idea from? Bet you can't back that shit up either, though can you? Clearly you have no fucking clue what you are talking about at all, and are just yanking things out of your ass here. quote:
So you don't think that setting up a sure riot is the fault in any way of the person who gives them permits that make violence inevitable has no blame. If they refused either group a permit you have an argument but not putting them next to each other would be good sense . No, idiot, I say they have no right or authority to grant or withold permits, the fucking 1st amendment makes that blatantly obvious. What part of "shall make NO law" is confusing you? smh Making them have a safty zone between them does not infringe on their right to express their view, it can keep them from killing each other. There was no attempt to keep them apart. With these two groups there needed to be a strong police presence between them. I am glad to see that you oppose laws that say a baker can't refuse to make something that violates their religion. I am also glad to see that you oppose may issue permits rather than must issue ones and that you oppose magazine limits. When I made earlier posts I was half asleep.
