I did read the article.
I think it's absolutely horrible that the dude HAD to remove himself from the game, because of his name being associated with a White Robert Lee. He was NOT part of the confederate! And Robert Lee in the Chinese world, is a super common Chinese name! Everyone is name Robert Lee!
And on top of that, you are talking to an Asian here! Who are non-confrontational people.
Even if he wanted to present that night, he would have just not make trouble and agreed to change.
He was asked nicely and politely to change. BUT the point is, why does he have to be asked to change at all?
I wish that Robert Lee should have just stayed and stuck to it. Because he is an ASIAN Robert Lee, and he has nothing to be ashame about.
