ORIGINAL: WhoreMods There was a great story, which I really hope isn't an urban myth, about a Chinese restaurant in Kyoto whose owner refused to serve any Japanese customers who didn't apologise for the invasion of Manchuria. I don't see how these are related. It's normal for Chinese people to refuse to serve Japanese. Except we are like the same colour, so it's even not seen as racism, but just people from the same skin colour bickering with each other. Some Chinese are still mad at what Japanese did during the war and their refusal to teach their younger generation what happened and all the horrific things they did. I think alot of Chinese are angry that their younger generation is totally ignorant of what Japanese did in the past that was atrocious. At least in the US, all kids were educated about how evil slavery was. Not the Jap kids, wiped from history about any evil doings the Japanese ever did. I am from the younger generation who never witnessed evil Japanese period. But man, my grandparents, would be like so hostile towards any Japanese. But ya can be sure, no Japanese newscaster with the same name as some evil Jap soldier, is gonna be told that he needs to lay off broadcasting a certain match. It's just non-related.
