ORIGINAL: heavyblinker Bosco is frustrating as hell but at the same time he contributes 65% of all posts, so I think the forum would probably be a lot less active. Still, there would be more intelligent discussions, guaranteed. I think they'd be MORE active. As a lurker, there is little in PR that makes joining in on a topic appear worthwhile. There's more noise here than talk. Every OP devolves into personal attacks by post #3. The majority of regulars turn every topic into their pet issue. There is more responding to straw men than members. I would say all non-partisan topics become partisan, but it's more like they devolve into a fight between conservative vs. liberal using made up terms like "alt-left", phoqing, or felchgobbler. I guess it's just hard to have a discussion in a place full of big personalities, big wills, big egos, and big mouths. Was it better in the olden times, when there were active mods? Or was it always like this?
