Another point concerning Blackwater, Obama was on the senate committee that investigated the accusations against them in Iraq and Afghanistan, the result of which cost the firm a pretty penny, I doubt they would take a contract with him or anyone associated with them.
Add to that a former MI6 operative already admitted to monitoring Trump associates due to taps he had in place on Russians he suspected of being part of the Russian intelligence network.
In point of fact, all leaked reports about Trump associates phone conversations came from that one source.
Then there is the fact that Trump later made the statement that tapping meant any electronic surveillance, which would mean bugs and they have to be physically placed in the rooms to be monitored.
Which then brings up the point that Trump tower is already one of the most secure private residences in NYC, and his personal penthouse has actually been said to be more secure than the white house.
Considering the modern business world mentality, many corporate execs routinely have their offices swept for listening devices, I cannot believe that Trump would be any different.
That would then imply two things:
He had physical proof of such activities when he made the allegation, which is doubtful since he did not produce evidence.
Or he made the whole thing up as a way to divert attention from any ongoing investigation of him or his associates.
Of course, with the recent ruling that a president cannot pardon those accused of or convicted of state crimes, which includes treason or cooperating with a foreign government to the detriment of the United States, nor can he pardon himself, IF anything comes out of the investigation that leads to criminal indictment by congress and conviction, the man be screwed.
