Well I do agree that there are many civilizations that have owned slaves but most do not go around bragging about it. I don't think people are playing the victim card if its still going on. People are just fed up and finally are getting enough courage to speak up.

I'm a little disappointed in this post. You have seemed sensible in the past. Yes, the race card is strong and very much a part of the identity politics going on today on the left. I guarantee you Trump was elected because people are fed up with not being able to speak without being labeled a racist. Almost every institution that governs our social structure has white men in positions of power at the top. This includes Congress, the military, the police, universities, corporations, and state governments. The only places I could find where there were representative numbers of Blacks in positions of authority were cities and small towns (albeit accompanied by predominantly white city councils) and historic Negro colleges. Otherwise, top-down, our institutions are governed by white people.
