Nothing but an ad hominum attack by a very partisan R congressman.

Do we really want to become a banana republic that jails its political opponents?

This is exactly what the RWNJs will be saying when Trump is finally indicted for money laundering or collusion or whatever.
If it's the GOP in charge of the hearing, they will paint him as an independent who was taking on the swamp.
If it's the Democrats, they will say they are hijacking our democracy and trying to bring Hillary back.

But this is of course totally defensible.

ah yes time honored tradition......we're gubmint, we're criminals, fuck you.

What is your alternative? Shall we all become sovereign citizens and deny the legitimacy of our governments? They are all criminals? Really? There are no honest and dedicated members in Congress and in the Administration? Beyond that, the implied immunity offered to the outgoing Administration is the grease that provides for a peaceful transfer of power. On Inauguration Day we do not see armored vehicles and tanks in the streets as you might see in some Latin American or African countries. You may not like the previous Administration and obviously you think everybody is a crook, but what you think of them politically is really not important. On Inauguration Day it is time to start anew peacefully and without rancor. That is a very big deal in the exchange of power in a democracy or in a Democratic Republic, whichever suits you.

A republican government is one in which the powers of sovereignty are vested in the people and are exercised by the people, either directly, or through representatives chosen by the people, to whom those powers are specially delegated. In re Duncan, 139 U.S. 449, 11 S.Ct. 573, 35 L.Ed. 219; Minor v. Happersett, 88 U.S. (21 Wall.) 162, 22 L.Ed. 627.

...at the Revolution, the sovereignty devolved on the people; and they are truly the sovereigns of the country, but they are sovereigns without subjects...with none to govern but themselves..... [CHISHOLM v. GEORGIA (US) 2 Dall 419, 454, 1 L Ed 440, 455 @DALL (1793) pp471-472.]

The people of this State, as the successors of its former sovereign, are entitled to all the rights which formerly belonged to the King by his prerogative. [Lansing v. Smith, 4 Wend. 9 (N.Y.) (1829), 21 Am.Dec. 89 10C Const. Law Sec. 298; 18 C Em.Dom. Sec. 3, 228; 37 C Nav.Wat. Sec. 219; Nuls Sec. 167; 48 C Wharves Sec. 3, 7.]

The very meaning of 'sovereignty' is that the decree of the sovereign makes law. [American Banana Co. v. United Fruit Co., 29 S.Ct. 511, 513, 213 U.S. 347, 53 L.Ed. 826, 19 Ann.Cas. 1047.]

Whats your point vince?

It must truly suck to discover the people everyone loves to call nutters are the ones who actually read the law, and the ZioJiz believers are always left high and dry?

Two things I wish to point out:

You are incapable of composing your own original expository sentences and so rely heavily on the copy/paste words of others.

Just wondering: when you and the six other sovereign citizen believers gather together for your midnight rituals and partake of the hard cider and banjo music, do you all doesy doe and around you go, as well? Or have you come up with your own original folk dances?

They just bounce up and down on each other's laps and the last one to come wins the dance off.

The administration they do it for won't prosecute. If it is evil for the next one to prosecute the politicians are above the law.
I assume then that Obama started us down the road to being a banana republic by prosecuting Scooter Libby.

Then we have the, "Let's all pretend that the never-ending Trump investigations aren't politically motivated" thing

Yet leftist politicians are above prosecution, when they really blatantly break laws

that's RIGHT up there with " no body met with Russians" to "met with Russians to see about a new rump towers while hoping to get dirt on Hillary, but got duped into talking about adoptions."

Of course the Russians just decided to be helpful to rump get his tower built, by getting him his own country.

Its so funny to see this thread brought up by the same duped boneheads by the same Russian internet trolls group who conned them into voting for rump the orange squirrel....

now of course all he's going to do is call Me a howler,.....

and I'm going to laugh AT him for hoping this changes the investigation on the man voted most likely to have boss-hoe's lips attached to his asshole.

Mr. Libby was indicted in 2005 during the George W. Bush administration. Mr. Obama had nothing to do with it. You are a fucking idiot.
