No, I'm just not cherry-picking in order to suggest that a cop wannabe who'd bit off more than he could chew the second he got out of his car was justified in shooting an unarmed man.

You are not far wrong. Seems like a good clean ~~shoot~~ murder to me. Over here we taser them. We almost never shoot them for we are a civil lot not a race of barbarians and a nation whipped up unto a frenzy of fear, hate, long division and denominators. They could have at least pepper sprayed her, tasered her, introduced her to the delights of a truncheoning, or wounded her a little but not to the state of death itself.

Yes, and the police dispatcher he spoke to told him to stay in his car and not do anything about the ~~[word removed]~~thug he didn't like the look of. That is well documented and was mentioned at the trial, rather than an urban myth.

He said, "Okay," and a moment later Zimmerman reported that Martin had run. The rest if the conversation was about where he would meet the cops and asking that they phone him. It's a matter of public record. Not at all an Urban Myth. I'll allow that Martin may have been innocent when this began, he was staying with someone in the community. But he stopped being innocent the moment he jumped Zimmerman and began pounding his head into the concrete. That was a conscious choice on Martin's part.

Non-lethal takedowns have bad optics. Especially now with all of the recording devices. Do you recall Rodney King? Now, imagine the howls and gnashing of teeth if three or four burly cops had taken down this goblin and had to wail on him to get the weapon taken away? To add to this, we have more female cops now. Female cops are not able to do take-downs of goblins like male cops are able to.
