Seriously, I always felt like Kasich is in the wrong party to start with! What was he doing with GOP in the first place! He will also have a much better chance as President as a Dem. He is so politically correct and diplomatic. I think he should he run for Democrat primaries in 2020. And give a go there. He might be nominee.

Currently, those who support the right wants unpolitical correct politicians.

FFS he isn't politically correct, he's just a respectable person.
Which is probably why he doesn't fit in with the GOP.

But he is moderate enough to adopt some democrat-ish stances.

So a moderate Republican is now 'left-ish'?
I guess anyone who projects even a whiff of compromise is now part of the opposition.

The US will always be divided under a piece of shit like Trump.
Pence too.

Kasich could have brought everyone together, but of course, the right doesn't want that.

No, he is moderate enough to be an actual Republican instead of some Right Wing howler living in a cartoonish fantasy.

It's difficult to say what kind of campaign they would have run, but I guarantee that neither would have stooped as low as Trump did.
The left wouldn't have been happy, but they would still have accepted Kasich.

Hillary is a politician, not a mean girl... Kasich is worthy of her respect and would have gotten it, and her defeat wouldn't have been as bitter for everyone... because at least the dignity of the office AND the country would have been preserved. Instead, 2016 was a triumph of racism, stupidity, hate, incompetence and division... it would have been a disaster even if Trump hadn't won. Even getting the nomination was bad for America.

I don't think the right realizes that this wasn't just about Hillary losing, this is about coming face to face with just how ugly, just how awful, just how evil America can get.
Watching Trump win the election was like watching someone you care about being raped, and being powerless to stop it... and then having to watch all of the idiots who made it happen taunt you even as it becomes increasingly clear that even they don't even realize the full extent of what has happened.
It isn't just about the left vs. the right-- Trump isn't part of the traditional right.

Trump is the personification of all of the absolute worst aspects of America, and even though the GOP isn't exactly united, Trumpists and scary circus clowns still have enough power to do real damage. It's terrifying, humiliating, nervewracking... even though nobody has actually died as a direct result, I would still compare it to 9/11 in terms of stirring up fear and forcing people to worry about the future.

It definitely made me wonder if Americans wouldn't be better off under a system more like the one you have.
At least the world would be safe from the level of stupidity we are seeing now.

Americans elected the modern P.T. Barnum of politics. Too many swallowed his bullshit rhetoric hook, line and sinker.

And all he is doing is cleaning out the current swamp to install his own swamp....heavier, smellier and deeper.

...and the GOP had better be careful or many more like Kasich...will leave the party,

Hang on a second. The person playing dirty politics was actually Hillary. You completely forget about how Hillary played all the racial politics and accused Obama of being Muslim during her Primaries against Obama. She ain't that innocent. And she thought she could go on the angle of accusing Trump to be like a potential rapist or a womanizer. The reason why this backfired on her is because she married someone who is also a potential rapist and a womanizer. So people look at her accusing Trump of all those things and then roll their eyes, because she never divorced her man who are the same things.

Last of all, the emails was no dirty tricks. It was 100% her fault.

Kasich is too liberal to be a Democrat. Unless you buy into totalitarian bolshevik B.S.; the DNC has no place for you.

Hillary didn't accuse Obama of being a Muslim, and in fact openly denied it.

Here she is in 2008:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHFREDHB-nQ

An email was passed between members of the Clinton campaign in 2008, and most of them thought it was racist and ignorant.

As for the 2016 campaign, I was talking more about the direct appeals to racism, protectionism, foreign barbarian invasion narratives, etc.
All of the stuff he borrowed from the Eurofascist movements, basically.

It's one thing to attack a candidate personally because you want to win, and another to repackage fascism and thrust it on the ignorant masses.

That's bullshit. Just out of curiosity, which of these issues do you consider to be "liberal"?

With the actions of this past election; the DNC is sure pushing things in that direction. I really shouldn't have said the DNC. The political machine and old money really doesn't care what you believe as long as they get to pull the strings and stay in power.
But, the "perception IS reality" crowd the Hillary campaigned inflamed to the ignition point is certainly rioting in the streets with just that agenda; Marxism or death. i.e. Antifa and B.A.M.N.
