ORIGINAL: WhoreMods Face it Greta, he doesn't give a fuck about his son's transplant, or he wouldn't have got himself arrested a week before it was due to took place. He just thinks he can emotionally blackmail some special arrangements out of this this that'll keep him out of jail. I think you don't understand the part where just because the kid is born to shitty parents which is not the kid's fault. The kid don't deserve to die because the kid never GOT TO CHOOSE his father. So stop punishing the kid just because his father fucked up. That is my point! This is the angle the "government", "hospital", whoever is preventing this transplant from happening is not seeing! Screw any red tape in this situation! It's a life or death situation. As I was saying, in this situation in my country. He wouldn't be able to escape jail. He will have to serve jail AFTER he finish recovery and his hospitalisation. We had many people post pone their jail terms in Singapore. For whatever valid reasons. But they can never escape it. And the reason must be reasonable. Like a woman got jailed for 7 years and she was able to post pone her entering the jail by 6 months, because she needed to make new arrangements for her children, without her around. Reasonable requests. She still serves 7 years counting from the day she goes in. In this case, if he needs to give up a kidney, recover in the hospital. After the doctor says he is recovered, then his DAY 1 in Jail starts from AFTER he discharge from hospital. Nobody escapes anything. Kid's life gets saved. Father still goes to jail AFTER donating kidney. It seems like the real issue is the inflexibility of the US system to make special arrangement to save a life. And this involves an innocent child. The same reason that woman in my country was granted a deferment to her imprisonment because the children matters, and she needs to make sure she finds a trusted caretaker for the next 7 years while she is gone.
