Minimal or none at all coverage of 10,000 or even 50,000-100,000 protesters across several cities, -no violence-, in "Address Of Grievances" in anticipation or immediate response to the unlawful invasion of Iraq? But how could that attract attention to the media? "Who gives a fuck, and what they were protesting about, anyway?" "Gotta Go with the Flow," "It is what it is," etc. That's 'hard hitting journalism!' if ever there was, 2002-2004- style, eating the yellowcake story with chocolate icing on top. OTOH, the media were all agog and enthralled by the "smart bombs," leave it to the 'opinion writers' to sort out the rest. Lives and entire villages and thousands of year's (well before muhammad) way of life destroyed by drones. Screw all those 10,000-100,000 protesters. No violence? Fuck'em. Who cares, who gives a crap. We certainly don't. We got adverts to sell, here, let's move along. But then, if "Protesters hit each other!", now we got headlines. Probably no more than 500-2,000 'protesters and combatants' at any particular event, now. "Jenny, Mark, you've been speaking to our clients on how to best market this, right?" NOW we're talking!
