We all remember Donald Trump constantly criticizing Obama for his playing golf all the time, but....

quote:

Trump could be on track to triple Obama's time on the golf course

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump could be on track to spend as much as triple the time former President Barack Obama did on the golf course in his first year in office -- and to play more than former President George W. Bush did in eight years in office.
Trump spent Saturday at his Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, marking the 81st day that the President has visited one of his golf courses -- and his fourth straight day at a club. A law enforcement source said Trump played with golf legend Jack Nicklaus, a longtime supporter of the President.
It is unclear, however, whether Trump golfs each day he visits a course or how many rounds he plays when he does. White House aides rarely confirm that the President is golfing, but Trump did so himself on Friday, announcing that he was playing with golfing stars Tiger Woods and Dustin Johnson.
By comparison, Obama played 333 rounds of golf during his eight years in office and at this point in the first year of his term had played 26 rounds, according to Mark Knoller of CBS News, who keeps detailed statistics of presidencies.

Knoller told CNN that Bush played only 24 rounds of golf as President and stopped playing golf after October 13, 2003, after he was criticized for golfing while the nation was at war. At this point in his presidency, Bush had golfed seven times.

source

And of course the trumpeters will defend the hypocrisy, which boils down to the argument "but its Trump, NOT Obama."

Thus proving, bullshit is on both sides of the political fence.

Considering the bullshit reporters seem to be looking for when a member of the opposing party is in office, I am waiting for the breaking of the 'toilet paper' scandal, because some reporter found out that the administration is using Hanebisho toilet paper, $17 a roll.

It's actually part of the Russian scandal, rather than a matter of expensive bog roll: el presidente's boyfriend provided an underaged Russian working girl who licks his anus clean for him so he doesn't have to use toilet paper at all.

If this piece of shit golfs his way through his entire presidency we would all be safer than if he acted on all of the things he thinks he understands.

With all the fast food he's eating, it might even give him a fatal heart attack.
And when that magnificent day comes, I will revel in the joyous celebrations in the streets.

$17/roll ? What does it do...kiss your ass on the way by ? I've heard of high-priced ass before but that's a bit over the top.

Proves the Trumps...are special assholes.

Leftists howled about George Bush playing golf, then looked the other way while Obama played FAR more golf

Now they're howling about President Trump playing golf.... (the saga continues)

Did they? The complaints were more about him scuttling off to his ranch to hide and leaving Cheney to do his job for him than him playing golf, iirc.
Dubya's and Obama's golfing is less of an issue than the spacehopper's however, because neither of them campaigned on playing less golf while in office than the guy before them, so the amount of time they spent on the links wasn't paid attention. If either of them had been lying through their teeth about how they'd be too busy working for the people to waste any time playing golf on the election trail, and then had immediately demonstrated that this was a fib, they'd be getting the same amount of shit over it that your boy did. This isn't a partisan double standard, as no other presidential candidate in history has campaigned on playing less golf than the guy who was in office before him: there's nothing partisan about pointing out that a liar is lying.

I love to golf, and its fine with me that presidents play the game

Whats interesting though, is the game that leftists play with presidents' golf habits... Which is why I love poking fun at our current duffer-in-chief and his golfing obsession

The following article, though a bit dated (from April of 2010), takes a shot at explaining the blatant double standard presented by the propaganda arm of the DNC:

quote:

The Media's Golf Double Standard

The president has gone golfing more than he’s met the press. Had Bush tried that, he’d have been clubbed by the media. Mark McKinnon on Washington’s 18-hole hypocrisy.

News flash: President Obama hasn’t held a formal press conference in almost a year (274 days and counting) yet has golfed 32 times since he was elected—eight more times than President George W. Bush did during his entire presidency...

Obama has golfed almost 200 days now...

Who is looking the other way?

As I said, when people were bitching about Obummer golfing (though I refuse to look it up):

As long as he takes care of business, he deserves and NEEDS as much relaxation time as he can get.

He's not a stock boy at WalMart. A high-pressure job requires more leisure time.

To be fair, he isn't looking the other way, he's just pretending that his liberal hypocrisy strawman is a really important issue.
I know I never actually cared about Bush or Obama golfing... being president is stressful.

The thing I hate about Trump is that he is costing everyone a fortune and has no interest in being an actual president.

I would actually hate him even more if he was actually doing what he said he would do... being a selfish spoiled infant who never learned the difference between positive and negative attention is bad, but being an unstable despot with zero impulse control making decisions that affect billions because of your narcissistic ego is a total nightmare.

I much prefer the option where he just keeps saying shit that nobody ever takes seriously and then golfs every day and lets everyone else actually do things.
Unless of course Bannon is the one making the decisions, then it's horrifying.

At the present moment, we can content ourselves in knowing that things could be much much worse... though in some ways, the threat of things becoming as bad as they have the potential to become is still really unnerving.

Because of course, there was not a single word from any rightist trash screeching about the amount of time Obama was playing golf, least of all the current president who campaigned on playing less golf while in office, but is currently playing more golf.

Believe it or not, it is possible to say things that other people like.
It is even possible to say things that don't make everyone realize you're a complete fucking idiot.

Not that you would know.

Again, because you are so slow - Obama's golfing was criticized only because you mindless little leftist howlers obsessed over Bush's golfing

You are obviously far too stupid to ever get that, I know.

It's just fun pointing out what a complete drooler you are

Is the spraytanned scrote in the white house playing more or less golf than the guy he spent his election campaign criticising for playing too much golf?
(I'll give you a clue: he's playing more golf than Obama.)
No amount of "...but Obama!"ing makes him look any less of a lying hypocritical bitch over this, I'm afraid.
