Trump supporters are getting really tired of all this winning
Senate GOP repeals ObamaCare mandate
Senate Republicans have approved the repeal of ObamaCare’s individual mandate as part of their tax-cut bill, a major step toward ending an unpopular part of the health-care law.
“Families ought to be able to make decisions about what they want to buy and what works for them — not the government,” Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) said, hailing the accomplishment.
“I believe if people don’t want to buy the ObamaCare insurance, they shouldn’t have to pay a tax penalty to the IRS.”
The Senate tax bill must still be reconciled with House legislation that does not include the mandate’s repeal. But that is unlikely to be a major issue, given support in the GOP conference for repealing the mandate.
More

The mandate hasn't been repealed. The legislation hasn't been signed into law. We'll have to wait and see what does and doesn't make it through reconciliation, and gets put in front of President Trump. The Senate has voted to repeal the mandate, but until the President signs a bill repealing the mandate, it's not repealed.

Found it! Here it is:

This is the core of everything that is wrong with ObamaCare. It's better to increase Income tax with transparency of how much of the income taxes goes into ObamaCare covering 100% automatically, than to penalise people for not being able to afford Obama care.

I don't understand why Obama thinks with this type of negative persuasion to healthcare, that he would convince people it is important.

I remember just about all of 'em. After a couple of hours, eating cereal and watching TV, it was out the door to play stickball or football (on crappy days, it was Monopoly).

Wow! I can't believe I did a google search on the Rubio secret, to see what kind of sources were reporting it, when I saw this source reporting it!!!:

More Trump Winning! - collarchat.com
www.collarchat.com/m_5092301/tm.htm
Sen. Rubio tells a secret: After giving a tax cut to the rich, GOP will cut Social Security and Medicare ... tells a secret: After giving a tax cut to the rich, ...

Of course, I had to hop over to Collarchat to see how everyone was and how y'all were debating this :)

My thoughts on it? I can't wait to see what the people who voted him in say when this all dawns on them, too :) Oh, of course there will be a bunch of snark with that statement, but the statement stands: I'd love to be a fly on the wall when his supporter's finally lift their veils and see the light!

I also think we're all in for a rocky ride. I hope we all learned a lesson, if there was one to learn, because Wall St and the markets are bursting to explode, and they will...and so will everything else that exploded a decade ago!

Oh, and that doesn't cover the deregulation of the internet!! We may be reverting to pay more to view sites and just be online at all!

Merry Christmas everyone!! I pretty much don't argue politics anymore, but I did miss you guys!!

Sen. Rubio tells a secret: After giving a tax cut to the rich, GOP will cut Social Security and Medicare

http://beta.latimes.com/business/hiltzik/la-fi-hiltzik-gop-social-security-20171130-story.html

Advocates for seniors and the middle class have been warning for weeks that the Republican drive to cut taxes for the wealthy is the prelude to a larger attack on Social Security and Medicare.
In a videotaped interview with two Politico reporters Wednesday, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) said the quiet parts out loud. Asked by interviewers Anna Palmer and Jake Sherman how to address the federal deficit, he replied: “We have to do two things. We have to generate economic growth which generates revenue, while reducing spending. That will mean instituting structural changes to Social Security and Medicare for the future.” (A video of Rubio’s appearance is here, with his remarks on Social Security and Medicare beginning at the 21:45 mark.)

The only thing that’s new here is the explicit admission by a Republican officeholder that this is the GOP’s master plan to eviscerate the welfare and retirement of American workers. Budget analysts have seen it coming with all the subtlety of a freight train. As we reported earlier this month, the damage begins with the so-called Paygo law (for “pay as you go”), which requires Congress to offset any increase in the federal deficit with spending cuts. The law limits Medicare cuts to 4% of its budget per year, or $25 billion of its $625-billion budget. Because the tax cut proposals the Senate was preparing to vote on late Friday would expand the deficit by about $1.5 trillion over 10 years, it’s likely to trigger the cuts.

It’s funny I have 45 years in the Social Security system and take home less than half from that system what I take home from 17 years in a separate retirement system. Had the government allowed me to use that 45 years worth of “MY” money to invest in “My” retirement I’d have doubled my retirement income. But the government required me to stay in the system so they could afford to pay benefits to a bunch of people that never paid into the system and/or roll the money into the general fund and spend it on things I never voted, nor would vote, for. So you tell me, just what isn’t there in the system that needs to be reformed? Not only that, the money the system took from me was 15% off the top, the first 15%. My 17 years of alternate retirement I paid for that doubles the SS retirement cost me less than half what I was forced to pay into SS. You tell me now that SS doesn’t need reform.

no not only the rich pay taxes, because those in the 40-50k a year will see their taxes go up.
seeing as half the population earns under 30 k a year, they still pay taxes.
why are you applauding 1.4 trillion adding to the debt, didnt you cough up hemorrhoids over the debt?
did you watch the video? I doubt it.

I’ve calculated my taxes under the new bill using tax calculators that can be found on the internet. They went, or will go, down substantially. You should stop believing fake news. I know you’ll never stop reading/listening to fak news. But if you had the intellectual ability to discern, at least you ouksnt believe it. You could still use it to spread the kook aid around.

Several years ago, my then-wife and I decided that we wanted our kids to see those shorts that she and I both very much enjoyed as kids. We bought the 2-DVD set, and found that there were a while bunch of other ones we'd never even heard of. I'm sure some of them were made after she and I both were no longer entranced by morning TV, but still.

Well, I sit corrected; on two counts:

1) Obviously, I didn't remember all of 'em because ...

B) to your point: I was "done" with Saturday morning cartoons, right after season 3 (maybe even during it).

(Thanks for making me admit to my age !

Looking at the list, I don't remember any of Season 1 episodes, but mostly Seasons 2 & 3. None of Season 4's episodes look familiar at all.

I'm guessing we're similarly aged, and that puts us probably in the middle of those who post most here.

so tell me whats fake???
it should be easy.
As only you can say what your tax rate is, its anecdotal, and worth nothing.
I have sourced my post before, I can do so again.
Your personal story, is "Im ok jack, mine go down, so everything else is fake news".
Id like to see you prove it is fake.
As Des S says, the bill isnt final, Ive said it myself in another thread.
You dont know What will be changed before the end, I am simply sharing the info as it is now. Not how it will end up.
