ORIGINAL: RealDominantLover Maybe I just can't take the chat-room banter over all of this but the argument over the climate is the same as everyone of society's arguments. Follow the fucking money. When will people realize that profits rule our lives and the earth, the people, the resources and its environment...are profit centers. Oil is a huge profit center and the capitalist will burn every goddamn drop he can and fuck the earth. Blogroids, American business and elite culture is profits. People already die for a profit. So what's the big deal ? Items: Siberia shocked the world hitting 90 F. Recently 100 fucking degrees F. Siberia ?? Wild life were running for shelter, some perished. The permafrost everywhere is melting and trust me, when the permafrost is gone...we are gone. Remember a few years back when Boston was getting record snowfall, S. Calif, was hitting 3 all time new high temps. That's climate change, weather and global warming all wrapped up in real meteorological science. What the layman [or the millions of ignoramuses] doesn't [refuses] to understand, is how that is possible. It would bring reason to the discussion. Can't have that. Warm air [hot really] creates drought in the SW. Warm air over the NE [Boston] where there is plenty of clouds, holds more water, sometimes much more water. Then it lets lose. That water passes through not just freezing weather but cold freezing temps. and we get record snow falls. Same thing in warmer climates and we don't just get rain...we get floods. Go look it all up...it's happening. Now I can't find it but Bosco I think wrote that more people die from the cold than the heat. He may be correct if only we don't have all of the data on lung disease etc.. caused by oil pollution. But the reason is because literally millions of people moved away from their fucking heat so...they didn't die. They are aptly called climate refugees. Deaths from the cold are either stupidity or homelessness. Of course, that too will be picking up in America. I think the main points of this post are: 1. Climate Change is real 2. Climate Change is happening now 3. #1, and #2 are empirical.
