To the OP.... no matter where you join.... there are gonna be people that set profiles... post on forums... things you'll get bored with.. do not like...etc...... lern quickly to ignore them and move on. The folks here on CM are actually friendly people... you just catch some on bad days.... or being a short term member thus far... do not quite know how others post and can get offended faster thinking you're being flamed. It doesn't matter if you've made less than 10... or over 2000.... there's gonna be disagreements. As for profiles.... (laughs).... Well as they say.. you gotta toss out a few bad apples to get the right ones for your pie. Just think..(and no i've not read your profile...and do not plan on it).... someone... doesn't like your profile either.... or mine.. but hey... what the hell do we care! Everyone wants a perfect profile... I would prefer to read a profile that shows one showing exactly how they think... will say what they mean... and tell protocol to go to hell. Because to me.. a profile will show how one really "acts", "thinks" as the person they really are. Not what others think they should. Yes, I've noticed that too. Especially regarding Dommes. I tried to keep my profile upbeat and to state who I am and what I'm looking for in as clear a way as possible. I also included a photo that is a few years old but represents the way I look. That's another peeve of mine, no photos! If you need to be anonymous because of work etc fine, just edit out your face enough so no-one can recognize you. But you should have something up! And I try to always answer all my e-mails too. And I get a lot lately. (Many from men wanting me to "Dom them". No thanks guys in advance.) Nothing like e-mailing someone and NEVER hearing back from them! If you're not interested simply state so in a short e-mail. How long does that take, 20 seconds?

Posters such as you describe are probably Terminal Sourpusses -- and anyone should steer clear of them -- unless you are an emotional masochist who enjoys being around that sort of creature... By now I have made contact or been contacted by enough sub women who are flakos, lamos, and assorted bullshit artists who either lke to yank people around or just plain don't know if they are coming on going -- that I could make my profile a "misery"... But I prefer to think that the glass is always half full, so I have't written about them till now... As I see it, my time and goodwill and energy may have been wasted, but after the aforementioned rectal specimens go their way and disappear, I assume I got lucky by finding out early rather late!

I am with Popeye on the "no photo" thing -- add to that: "not a single word" in the profile! I can almost understand the no-photo, but without so much as a word about themselves, how do these people expect to attract anyone? Maybe they think their physical statistics are enough, or that we are all mind readers... Of course, when no weight is listed, one can rightfully assume "grossly overweight and obese" -- which is fine for those who like a BBW -- so, applause for the BBWs of any size who are honest about themselves! As for the "no answer", those who get 10-15 pages of mail within a few hours can still use the "Auto" response, if only out of courtesy (courtesy? manners? What's that, something you eat?)... Having said that, one-line writers are indeed too lazy to deserve a response, lol!

If you looked, you would notice that the majority of women who identify themselves as BBWs, almost always put photos of themselves up, so it is a moot point as to their exact weight being displayed. I have 4 photos of myself and no weight listed. So, your overall assumption is a moot point as well, because now you an actually see if they are as disgusting as you think they are, without guessing.

LaMa, thank you for the recognition. [;)] I read threads like this and the phrase, "misery loves company" comes to mind. The fact is, people who write messages like "i hate players, wanna-be's blah blah blah" on their profile will find someone who has a similar message. Therefore, they can complain about how they were wronged together. And, i agree with LaMa. Threads like this one have been coming up more and more lately; usually started by a newbie. Expecting to see every profile say how happy they are with the lot they've been given is incredibly delusional. You're going to find profiles you don't like, and ones you do. Simply skip over the ones you don't like. Or, even better, message the owner of the miserable profile and give them a few tips on how to be more appealing, because i'm sure your profile is much more well done than the miserable one. BTW, LaMa, how's that dissertation going?

Sexyred.... I agree... no need to put weight on my profile... when my pic screams... BBW... Popeye.. no profile... hidden profile..... Might not be looking to meet either. Might be here just to look...forums.. friends... etc.... Hell my profile is not hidden.. but it says very little... profiles to me gives people time to think one of two ways... 1. open and honest about themselves.... 2. they say what profiler thinks others want to see but it's not who they really are. Bottom line... don't like the profile......... move along.

I never said BBWs are disgusting -- the word "grossly" was meant in the context of "extremely"... Some men like BBWs: to each their own, and more power to them!!! BTW, a 6'2" (or any height / size) woman with curves in the right places without looking pregnant can be more attractive than a skinny frail waif with nothing on her (ever been poked by a skinny meatless hip bone, lol?)... And if you do have a photo, then yes, listing weight is unnecessary, duh! truesb4u, and others like her: if you are not looking to meet anyone or just here for Forums and Chat, just say so -- we who are in fact looking will happily move on!!!

lol truesub, does it even matter if one is to say they are not looking, in consideration and/or owned. I don't know but my experience has proven that it still doesn't matter, there are still those out there that will initiate contact regardless of a persons status. In regards to those that state they don't want wankers, players and such upfront in their profile so be it. Perhaps it keeps those that are such at bay and away from the specific profiles they might otherwise be tempted at gaming with. If a Dominant and/or submissive choses to post such in their profile upfront, imo it gives a tad more indication of the sincerity of their search, no more than creating a hard limit. No big deal, if you are also serious in your search there should be no fear or disheartened feelings reading those lines; again my opinion.

I see nothing wrong with stating things someone does not seek in a potential match. It's more the attitude one has when they do it. Much of the time people who assume the worst, get just what they assume they will get.... and rightly so. What does telling of how disgusted I am with males who contact me, and how jaded I am with D/s relationships really tell a potential match about me and a possible future with me? Imagine voting for a President whose platform was... 'The world sucks, I doubt I can do much about it.... nothing I have ever tried before has worked. I am sick and tired of the general public pretending to be real US citizens. But if you are a worthy citizen.... vote for me". I appreciate those whose profiles are this way... as I know which ones to avoid without wasting my time on even an initial e-mail.
