thank you lee I thaught I made sence... Cook no need to make fun of my spelling.. dont know why people do that!!

To answer your question, it is because this is a written medium and at times, your spelling makes anything that you have to say very difficult to understand. And it is not a matter of making fun, it is a matter of saying that a lot of misspellings in a post makes the person posting come across as illiterate, ignorant, lazy or uncaring. Please understand i am not calling you any of those things, rather saying that misspellings give that impression. That either a person does not care how they "appear" or they don't want to spend the time to correct mistakes or they don't know that they are making them.

Sorry for the slight hijack, wanted to answer enigma's question.

I have a learning dissability so in fact I dont know I am makeing them but in no way shape or form am I ignoremtn

Again, i was NOT calling you any of those things, i was saying that that is the impression that a great many misspellings portray.

Those with problems such as dyslexia have a balance to maintain. The impression given and clarity of what is being said Vs the length of time taken on even a simple post. This is a place to relax, it is not life or death, it does not bring in a wage, it has a lowish priority in the sceame of real life.

Spell checks are just about useless for a dyslexic, many read by wordshape and context. A list of words all looking similar can lead to selecting the wrong word which can be far more confusing than leaving the mis-spelling.

Most do the best they can with the time available (And effort warranted), anything more, tough, people just have to cope.

How do I know? Because I also have dyslexia! What I wrote above applies to each and every post of the 2100+ I have on these boards.

Not 'getting at you' heartfelt, just giving you an insight into the problem from the other side.

melikesitruff - I have read the posts here and it seems there are a lot of us that have been thru the same type of thing, both in D/s and in the vanilla world.  You say "I do", or "I will", and BAM - they are nowhere to be found.  Even doing "homework" is no guarantee.

It is only my opinion, and of course, we all have one of those, but you should totally slow down.  Enjoy the moment and be aware of everything, no matter how insignificant.  Just because D/s is "supposed to be based on trust and truth, doesn't always make it so.  Especially online and telephone.

Thank you Raven for your words, i do appreciate them, but i also do know what it is like on the other side as i am also dyslexic and have worked very hard to try to compensate for that. i understand that this is a venue of relaxation and not of work, but i have always believed that anything that is worth doing is worth doing well, including taking part in these forums.

Though you have stated that you also struggle with dyslexia, it is not apparent from your posts. Part of my concern and part of the reason that i answered enigma's question, is that i have seen so many students (during my teaching career) who have been told all their lives that they have learning disabilities and have been given special dispensation (so to speak) because of them, come face to face with an abrupt reality check when they entered the working world where their learning disability is not going to be accepted. They will be expected to write coherently and correctly, so any attempt to start to do so prior to that experience would only be to their benefit.

Thank you again for your world, stopping my highjack now.

While it is most unfortunate this has occurred, her tale will not be the first nor the last we hear. For all the heartfelt words uttered and quiet moments shared, we are merely familiar strangers. I wish you the best.

I've been thinking about this thread all week. Yes, it's because I have no life. But now because I'm exhasted from a rough day at work, and drowsy from my 1/3 sleeping pill I took an hour ago I think I have the answer. (If I took a whole one I would have all the answers but I would fall asleep before I could write them down) He went the same place all the missing socks go. I've had a theory for some time that missing socks fall through a hole in the time space contiuum and are deposited on the Star Ship Enterprise. I think there was an episode like this. Perhaps those of you who remember it can back me up on this.

So anyway, I think the Missing Masters and Dissapearring Doms do the same thing. They just slide through space and time and "poof" there they are, on the Enterprise. What a ride! Who can blame them for not calling. Either that or he fell between the sofa cushions or rolled under the bed. Those are also good places to look.

This all seems quite clever to me tonight. Wonder how it will read in the morning before I've had my coffee?

Forgive me but I must admit to being a tad confused.  The pics you have on your profile SirWillsgirl are they of your Master (thinking perhaps Sir Will) or of a friend who plays with emotions online?

based on your first couple posts in this thread... I would say you took yourself on alittle ride and he just happen to be the vehicle that you where riding.

Maybe next time you will be alittle more careful in what vehicle you put your emotions into.

Awwwwwww, KoM, Sir... that was pretty hard!  I'm old enough and have been around long enough to be cautious; but sometimes ya meet someone here that just sounds like so much fun!  The last 'Dom' I met said he was a pilot from Nebraska...and wanted to ask again if I'd consider getting to know him in spite of the distance.  I gave it a shot.

He looks like Dabne Coleman (who I find attractive (I'm an old broad, remember)) and was quite bright.  We exchanged e-mail for 2-3 days, then chatted for 3-4 days and made a date.  I never laughted so hard in my life...he was really quick!  Anyway...he said he was coming to Denver, we'd meet on Saturday.  This was Thursday and I didn't hear from him again till Monday when he sent an e-mail saying he 'got in very late and to stand by, he'd be sending a note later'...of course, I never heard from him again; though I see he still comes online here on Cm.

So...nothing lost but time; but it's still hard.  I'll never understand why people do such things.  It's not like I cybered the guy; what on EARTH could he get from such behavior?

Anyway... I know we all get 'em...just wanted to say there's no protection FROM 'em.   Such a waste of time and energy.

i'm afraid to admit that i'm confused.  i have a potential Master, too me, more than potential.  i was of the belief that He wanted me.  i'm very new to this lifestyle but also accept that this is what i have to have.  He is adorable and experienced, i am not so.. need Him to mentor and mold me to make Him happy.  W/e  had exchanges here and outside and even placed a goal for my relocation.  As of the day before last W/e were corresponding and connecting.  He claims that He has meetings/appointments to tend to which i understand being a professional myself, but suddently everything has dropped off to nothing.  He has just "disappeared".  i had dropped my profile in order to show Him my devotion, but after no response for 2 days from Him i have reactivated.  What should i do or think?

Typical (no offense to you...actually..it's a plus to you).

You're a babe.

Your picture presumes you.

It must be nice.

(Forgive me...you're a babe-).

Sorry...you wanted me to assume.

You should assume what you believe to be true.

(GAWD you're good looking)...

Well you know, a friend may not always do ONLY what you approve of, they are still your friend though. I havent always made the best choices throughout my life but I am thankful for my friends always being there for me.

Let me clarify please,  Sony is your friend who is also your Sir.  This individual also goes online talks to girls then drops them when they get serious.  Yet you are with him because he is your friend.

This is just toooooo strange, actually the strangest one I have read yet.

My question would be when do you think he will drop you?  This seems to be his pattern online, and yanno what they say once a liar..........

Good Luck and keep your heart protected Sirwillsgirl  I think you are going to need it.
