It depends.
I've had one sub who was, quite frankly, hairy as a gorilla. Asking him to remove his pubic hair would be quite silly on my part. Most of the time I do prefer a submissive to remove his pubic hair or trim it; it makes wax play much easier to do, and I can see what I'm playing with better. I like some chest hair on men, but I've had lovers everywhere on the spectrum, and I'm not worried about it unless I'm going to do fire play on it, in which case I will see about shaving or waxing it.
