Sage, Thank you for explaining that to me. I grew up thinking I had to love my mother, simply because she was my mother. I had zero respect for her, couldn't stand the way she lived her life, couldn't stand that she put every man in the world above her minor children and her "Do as I say, not as I do" attitude towards her kids. I learned late in her life, that if I allowed myself to not like the person that she was or the mother that she was to me, I could at least tolerate her. I took care of her the last couple years of her life, and I wouldnt of changed that for the world, because I didn't feel like I had to, which gave me a choice of whether I wanted to or not.
