LaTigresse,
It's not a sexual thing, just a bit of hero worship perhaps. He's probably the best tv actor I have ever seen. There is simply nothing he cannot do, and do well. Convincing and talented, he knocks me off my feet in every role. That said, if i did have those tendencies, he would be top of my list!

sleazybutterfly:
Yes 'FatherTed' rocks! Get the box-set, its fantastic! But if you like Irish humour, try and get the other two also on DVD: P.G. Gallaghers 'Hidden Camera' and Pat Short's 'Killinaskuddy'. Try also Pat Short and John Kenny in 'D'Unbelievables'. Hilarious.

I haven't seen it in the box set..but now I will look.  I could only find one season (series) at a time.  I will look for the others also, I love this kind of comedy.. Thanks for the recommendation.

Now that I know they are packaged together.. Santa better get it.. no excuses he/she can't find them all.

Whee...  Just read through everything.  Sleazy, I think I like you.    You've listed a lot of shows that I like as well.  I maintain that some of the best TV is old TV that predates me.  I love re-runs.

Here's my list (leaving out all the 80's cartoons):

British
*Are You Being Served?
*Vicor of Dibbly
*As Time Goes By
*Last of the Summer Wine

"Oldies"
*Mork & Mindy
*American Hero
*The Prisoner
*Dr. Who
*A-Team
*Welcome Back, Kotter
*Get Smart
*Bonanza
*Columbo
*Mr. Ed
*My Three Sons
*The Donna Reed Show
*Green Acres
*M*A*S*H
*Knight Rider
*I Love Lucy
*Perfect Strangers
*McGyvere (sp)
*Family Ties
*Punky Brewster
*Facts of Life
*StarTrek (the original)
*Fractured Fairy Tales (from The Bullwinkle & Rockie Show)
*Lassie
*Benji
*Boomer
*You Can't Do That On Television!

There are plenty of other shows that I watched, but you did ask for favorites.  I was a TV junkie when I was a kid.

Oh, and I do like House and Hell's Kitchen as far as current shows go.  I don't have cable, so I can't get the oldies anymore.

All Creatures Great and Small  I love veterinarian Dr. Harriot.

So Graham Norton

Graham Norton has William Shatner as his guest.

There are aspects to this that are simply beyond wrong.

I have to cast a vote for Boston Legal. Nothing has made me giggle so much as William Shatner in that show, wow, he's finally found his place..."Denny Crane, cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs, Denny Crane"... And the episodes with Parker Posey....damn...Excellent scripts, great cast, wonderfully bawdy....absolutely love it.
