How or where do y'all chanel your anger.......

I am really angry right now.......i can usually get this out by throwing bladez.......pfttt, even that did not work, i can sometimes sit in 'the room' and  just think....that does not help.
Perhaps it's just something i need to go through at the moment, not sure.  Everyone around me is leaving...i know that this is part of it.

I scream.  Mutter too.  But that just might be because I'm Italian.
And I play really loud heavy music.

Sometimes I throw on some gloves and beat the crap out of a heavy bag....sometimes I go out to the woods and hike....sometimes I get in my car, turn the stereo up REALLY loud and drive some twisty country roads. Sometimes I make bread....it usually comes out way over-kneeded though...lol.

This might sound kind of odd....but sometimes I make myself cry. It seems that when I can have a good cry the anger seems to melt.

Anger I deal with in several ways, hopefully I can just take a walk. Really bust my ass out hiking, get all sweaty and tired. Nature always centres me and puts things in a better perspective. If I cannot do that then I find some work to do, if home, cleaning house. Something I can bang shit around, cuss at the vacume, something like that. Of course the vacume always seems to know when I am mad and become possessed, either bashing my bare toes or spewing something vile back into the room.  On second thought a walk works best.

Yup....heavy, dark and violent stuff. Limp Bizkit's "Break Stuff" is always a good one. Slipknot...that kind of stuff.

Go out and hit something.  Meditate.  Talk it over with friends.  There are a great many ways to handle anger.
By the way how is Thorn's doing?

By the way how is Thorn's doing?

He is still in Texas.........has been able to get on the boards from time to time and post, i do get to speak with Him for a few moments most nights.  He will be out in the field for a few weeks, no contact then.   All in all, He is doing really well....working hard and looking forward to January.

By the way................thanks.

How about a search for cheap airline tickets?  Go to Texas for a few days.  Let Thorn's hold you on those nights he has free a few moments?  Hmm?
I thought he was in the Gulf by now....Texas is way better than over there.

That would be great.  Unfortunately, He is in barracks, works 6 days a week, 12+ hours a day.  I am looking foward to the end of this month.  He is on a pass for the Labor Day weekend, so He will be coming home for those days, we will be together.  yay!
Texas is better than over there, i agree.  I also know it's just for training at the moment.  He will be leaving in January for 12+ months at that time.

I know this anger i am feeling will pass.........i think it's just one of "those" days.  One which i am just not dealing with well i suppose.

Shine the house, plan the meals, wax the car several times........make life spotless for labor day..........straighten the grass.......................

Find a goal that doesn't need anger.

Depending on the trigger, sometimes I shoot off at the mouth (imagine). Sometimes I cry, drive with loud music on, or mope. At the end of the day I try to meditate and find the source.

All depends on how angry I am.
Loud Music, Something really physically taxing, Blog to myself, or unload a few clips at some target usually work for me.

Before my legs got stuffed, I used to power walk it off. Now it depends where I am but I usually punch the shit out of a bag or padded post, work through hard kartas finishing with 30 minutes of sword kartas, alternatively I work a 10lb broard sword against a padded pell.. If it was some one pissing me off I create an image of that person in my mind and project that onto the pell or bag.. Never discovered if the target ever got mysterious aches and pain or bruises appearing mysteriousl;y when I was venting my spleen on his immage...

1. Work out in the gym

2. Swimming

3. I kill many people playing Stick Arena http://www.xgenstudios.com/

Those three things doing one or two of them a day get me through to the next.

I throw stuff at the walls - coffee mugs, dinner plates, newspapers, books, mobile phones, whatever else comes to hand. I slam doors too - repeatedly. It must be by mother's influence, she used to do the same - many are the times when I was little when we had to buy new dinner sets! After the rage has passed, I generally cry - but not at the damage I have done - more like a thunderstorm with lots of lightning and crashing, followed naturally by the rain. Still, its healthier than making more scars on my arm I guess.

Question - does anyone else see "red mist"? Everyone tells me its a myth, but I see it - sort of like when one looks through red tinted plastic - the world goes into hues of red; light things look pink and darker things go all the way to a red so dark its almost black.

Or am I just crazy!?
