British police thwart aircraft bomb plot

British authorities said Thursday they had thwarted a terrorist plot to simultaneously blow up several aircraft heading to the U.S. using explosives smuggled in carry-on luggage. Britain's Home Secretary John Reid said 21 people had been arrested in London, its suburbs and in Birmingham, including the alleged "main players" in the plot.

They just said on the news that Britain has "2 million Islamic Fundamentalists who are *openly hostile* to authorities and British society."
WTF! Most of them it said "immigrated" illegally.
And people call me "bigotted" because I don't want islamic "bigotts" in my country?
I don't understand why "the govts" of Western Countries feel it is "neccessary" to continue these IDIOTIC immigration programs!
If it's such a "good" thing why aren't all countries doing it.
In the future now when I call my congressman or senator (De Mint not Lindsey Graham anymore) I will tell them that I want *ALL* immigration stopped.

I'll bet the boys (and girls) at Scotland Yard are feelin' pretty darned good today. Can you imagine the amount of work this took? Today is payday, to see their effort come to fruition. If I had the time, I'd go fly in commercial airliners all day today.

I cannot, for the life of me, understand the mentality of any human being who would want to intentionally explode a bunch of innocent people.  I know it's out there.. but every time news like this breaks.... it reminds me of the sad state of the world.  And there is not a whole lot we can do to prevent it.... there will always be weaknesses to exploit.  Securing our borders would have been a good start, but instead we have talk of open borders and Super Highways  across them instead.... it's disgusting.

Lorelei, more than 90% of Americans agree with you there!
It is very obvious that "islam" and "The West" just don't and can't mix.
Time to start calling our senators and congressmen and don't "ask" them but "TELL" them to end all immigration and to start "ENFORCING" our immigration laws strictly!
We have somewhere between 20 million and 30 million people in our country who need to LEAVE!

Kenin, they're not "innocent", the very first thing that they did was to break our laws by entering our country illegally.
And they continue to do so just to remain in this country.
Did you know that it is a* Federal Felony* to use a social security card OR number for any purpose other than that for which it was intended?

By the way, nice avatar, Kenin. Anyways.... Enforcing your national immigration laws is hardly a crime against humanity. Those 20 million are not exactly being forced into concentration camps, and we are not eating their puppies. There are other reasons for those immigration laws existing besides those 21 bombers.

Finally, something we agree on. The borders need to be secured. Part of the problem is if you suggest that, especially here in Los Angeles, you are called a racist, and anti- Latino.
People need to understand that in securing the borders, we would be protecting everyone, regardless of race, religion, etc. These terrorists don't even care about killing fellow Muslims, who would think that they would care what race you as an American are?

Look, give those fellow citizens, that your government is playing you and them against each other, a large ice cream cone and you will find that they are swell people.

As to those 'terrorist attacks', who gives a fuck? There are six billion people. More than two hundred thousand of them die every day. The number of people that have died in attacks by crazy, mindfucked  'terrorists' is insignificant. It is like a boiling drop of water in the Sahara desert.

The newsservices have been invented to pull people's strings. When you consider the plus sides of news, you will conclude that there are none. Stop watching, listening to, and reading the news and you will be a lot happier.

Also: you will have more time to live instead of being lived, and what you do not spend on news, you may use to buy an ice cream. [;)]

I can't understand the mentality of a people that would invade a country, cause 100,000 deaths of mostly innocents, have the temerity to call the defenders of the land they invaded "insurgents" and then bitch about the blowback.

Well, if we didn't have organized radical Muslims back in the day, we have them now most likely. Still, we had to move the goal posts - I see they dropped the "Al-Qaeda" label. Now any kind of Islamist terrorists will do.

Rule - I cant believe you really think that the murder of hundreds (possibly thousands) is a drop in the Sahara Desert and insignificant?

Surely then, the murder of 20-30 million would just be a larger drop in the desert and just slightly less insignificant?

We might be being manipulated by news services and government, but we are all in this together so is it any wonder we feel for others who are murdered or might be?
