For some reason the video wouldn't play for me, however the thread has sparked my interest. I find it possible to die a good Christian without being a Christian. Martin Luther died a good Catholic, did they kill him ?, no that was the other guy who had too many questions.
I find almost all forms of religion to be immoral, nonsense, utterly disgusting and the cause of about 75% of the problems in the world today. It is manipulated by the lowest of scumbags, in their ivory towers, who need your money. It is a thouroughly reprehensible profession to say the very least.
There are some clergymen who are of good morality and spirit, and really want to help, but they are unwitting tools of something they never bargained for. Just like the bureaucrats in the government, some actually think they are doing somehing good. They are mistaken.
Religion lies, just as it itself describes, it mixes the truth with lies. After all if it was all lies we would know to do just the opposite, that is not their intended consequence. Religion took natural laws and incorporated them with so much bullshit nobody can figure anything out. In earlier times, monogamy was the best, fidelity, honor etc. My how times have changed.
When people were sparse, it was right to 'go forth and multiply'. Monogamy was the way to go, and have about 12 kids. Yes, this ensured the survival of the species. Well, the species is doing fine, so now it is cool to get the tubes tied and be a slut. Sluts are cool, I don't want a kid, but look around, there are plenty of kids. No problem.
So the old dogma of marriage and all that was correct, in the proper place and time. If religion was a real leader, it would adapt. Things must adapt, and I really do not reject God, but I reject all that has been said about him. Just like the Second Amendment thread, 'keep and bear arms', not firearms. Does that mean that I can enrich uranium in my basement in the city ?
Basically there are no answers, we find out when we die. Perhaps there is nothing, but I think there is something. I just don't think it has ever been described. Spare me the fairy tales about the pearly gates, in the words of the late Jim Watt, a good Man faults and all "Don't try to sell that shit to a grown Man".
I suggest yall check out Odinism. Of their nine charges which are somwhat like their version of the ten commandments I have two caveats. I think in the fourth or fifth charge hey use the word nor. Yes it has been properly translated, nor means not and/or or at the same time. Also screw the ninth charge, I reject anything that refers to anything supernatual. Supernatural=nonexistant.
It's not a bad set of rules, but the usual religious dogma is total bullshit, I would rather live by the Code Of Hamarabi. (Hamurabi ?) And yes, the world is going to end, Revelations was written by someone with some serious insight. I have explored just how someone could come up with something so accurate, and my conclusions are very scary and morbid. Not for the faint of heart to say the least.

Revelations was not a prediction, it was a plan. A plan being followed today.
Unfortunately, very sadly that theory fits, and fits like a glove. I know these things, I don't need a TV for the news. On 9/11 I was up about an hour later, they said "You missed it", They replayed the tape and my thoughts were 'they finally did it'. See I remember 1991, the first attempt. Remember the FBI complicity the was proven, even in the mass media ?
Want to know what's going to happen next ? I can tell you right now. Russia is going to ally itself with Iran, hell they helped Iran with their nuclear projects ! China will stop buying Tbills and the middle east will cool down, for now. Within 10 years, someone will nuke Israel, and the fallout will kill the sea. The breaking of one of the seven seals, and when the sea dies, we die. Steps could be taken by competent leaders around the world to save some, to save the human race, but we have no such leaders because they are chosen for their looks and speaking abilities. We will die.
When that fallout hits the sea we will have X amount of time to secure our future, by digging massive trenches where the good seawater can come inland. Then closing it off. By the time the actual fallout gets here it will not be so bad. But then it doesn't matter, our 'leaders' have not the foresight nor anywhere near the intelligence to do anything of the sort.
That's my religion, live each day as if it were your last, it might just be. Without some extreme solidarity, the likes of which has never been seen, these events will unfold as planned. One Man cannot change it, a million Men could not change it, we need a billion Men. We are fucked, shit you get seven guys at a poker table and the guns might come out. We all live in our own little world and as long as that is true, we are fucked.
