KnifeCandy -> RE: Lasting marks from play (8/20/2006 4:45:11 AM)

I <3 my marks! Most of my marks are bitemarks, with a healthy dose of knife scratches/cuts thrown in for good measure. I have fair (Irish) skin, so they are very visible at first, and remain an angry pink for a few days. On my neck, the marks are usually no longer visible after 4-5 days, although I can apply pressure and still feel the tissue complain. Just got my first inner thigh bitemarks and knife scratches last Thursday, and they are still going strong, although the bruises are beginning to turn yellow from the inside out, a sure sign of healing. I suspect the difference in tissues has a lot to do with the difference in the marks; my neck has a much higher muscle content than my thighs, and I imagine the muscles process and reabsorb the bruise blood more quickly than the fatty tissue of my thighs. I enjoy receiving bruises to my muscle tissue more (more like a super-intense, albeit quite painful, massage), yet the bruising on my thighs is less tender right now than that on my neck (received during the same scene). And yes, I am one of those who greatly relishes their marks and bruises. I turn my head from side to side often in the day or two after a scene, just to feel the pain of my bitemarks, and be reminded of the wonder of their infliction :)
