Bitching about the American media softpeddling questions of a foreign leader is laughable.  They sure as hell softpeddle their questions for Bush.

Imagine if the media had actually done its job during the runup to Iraq.  The would have either exposed there was no need to go and it was a distraction from the WOT or would have exposed the fact there wasn't a plan to put Iraq back together and while we would have still poured hundreds of billions of dollars into Iraq to create Muslim state allied with Iran, at least it would be a stable one that could keep Al Queda from using it as a training base.

So yeah, I ain't all that worried about the media softpeddling questions to Iranian leaders.

I agree ... Americans should be more careful whom they accuse of barbarism.

Health coverage compares to using a 6 month old baby to facilitate blowing up a plane?

Wow! What would it take for you to define a group of people who encourage such as "war strategy" as barbaric?

Merc,

Why is it you have no problem with Israel or America blowing up babies but whine and snivel if anyone else gets in on the fun?

I believe you fully understand my intent to have a greater meaning. Do we really need to discuss the many horrible things that go on in our country?

Perhaps I'm being biblical ... if your slate is clean, then you can throw stones.

We do. More importantly we can. Even more importantly there are people within the US who would do much to stop you. A Koran in a bathroom generates a Congressional hearing. In the US it is people who can be barbaric and do things that are AGAINST the law. In Iran people are the facilitators of activities that ARE the law.

The distinction is worthy of being at the forefront of any debate.

There are always conflicting references to quote whether you choose the Bible or some other story book of fables. My "slate" isn't clean and neither is the slate of the US or any other country. That doesn't give you the ability to ignore the atrocities and barbarism as they occur and point out those that initiate and sponsor those activities. Unless of course you support them.

I trust you have the ability to distinguish a country who in war bombs a strategic location that was a source of attack and kills civilians, including babies, because the civilians and babies happened to live in a war zone; compared with taking your own six month old baby and making it part of a living bomb. I don't think there are many "slates" in the US that would have to qualify not having that "sin" upon them. Making them eligible, under your criteria, to throw as many stones as they care to.

Who exactly are you arguing with here because the people you are accusing of ignoring attrocities are not actually ignoring anything. Posters are simply pointing out that using planes to bomb civilians is barbaric - from this position how have you managed to arrive at the conclusion that people are ignoring attrocities (and then imply that posters may actually support them)?

In the US it is people who can be barbaric and do things that are AGAINST the law. In Iran people are the facilitators of activities that ARE the law.

You have to be joking. Either you think US foreign policy is illegal or you think civilians are fair game for bombing.
