I am looking for subs/slaves who have been threatened for one reason or another by a dom on this system. This morning one of my former ladies who still counts on me for guidance and protection (and occasional play) contacted me, she had been threatened by a dom on this system in graphic detail, to the point that she is genuinely scared but does not want to leave collarme. I am curious what other subs have done in response, if anything. If you wish to know which dom threatened her you will have to send me an email because if I list it, the forum question will be deleted or attacked.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions, she will be reading them.

What you do is tell the administrators of this site. If it is serious enough I'm sure they will be able to provide authorites with the information that they need. If she is so scared, why doesn't she just call the police? I hate to trivialize the situation, but your vigilante tactics seem kinda childish. What are you going to do? Round up a cyber posse?

In all seriousness. . .if they are *serious* threats that may endanger her. . .I would think that the logical step would be to call the POLICE.

I've been threated by all types on the internet. Whatever they want to call themselves. They are meek little people if they have to resort to threats.

Anyway, my normal mode is...come one and come all. I dare you. Not like in my personal life I'm not an expert target shooter. The way I see it. One of us is going to win. I'd bet it is going to be me. If not, I know I've put up a good fight.
I do know however I am not normal when it comes to this sort of thing.
So, if someone threatens you over the net. No need to call the police. They have just committed a federal crime. You go to the FBI. See, they are using the phone lines to threaten you and because of that. It is federal. They get to go down big time. Not a small time jail.

It doesn't really matter if they were serious or not. The mere fact they threatened you. There is no way of knowing if they are truly a nut job or just some jackass who hasn't grown up yet.
Prosecute, and prosecute away.
If you don't want to go that far. Go to the mods. Let them know what is going on. After all, all of us had to give them our e-mail address's when we signed up. If something were to happen then they would know how to at least help you or the authorities.
Also, I'd keep rock solid records of these threats. When it was...etc..etc. Print them out. Put them in a file someplace. You never know when you may need proof.

So, I'd suggest at a bare minimum to go to the mods. So they can keep a watchful eye out.
Keep all records of threats. You may want to consider blocking the person as well if she is that scared.
Myself, I'd never block anyone. I'd want all the evidence they want to sling my way.

Good luck and if you need any help don't hesitate to contact me. I've been down that same road many times for merely having opinions. After all the Hitler's out there think submissives should have no voice at all.

I hope that there is a mechanism on this site for the moderators to intervene on behalf of members who are being seriously threatened by another member. I personally don't believe that bad behavior needs to be tolerated, even, if not especially, on the internet. But before we ignite our torches and go running through the town square initiating a witch hunt, I've got to ask: What sort of threat was it? Is it a real threat, a perceived threat, a veiled threat? Could it be that the person being threatened may have misconstrued? Was it bad cyber domming?
I'm not implying that any real threats should be ignored, or that the person reporting the threat was less than genuine. But there should also be a mechanism to identify the phenomenon of those who cry "Wolf" as well, shouldn't there?

I've been threated once. I forwarded the mail to the moderator. Didn't have any more problems.

The mods here are great.

I totally agree. It should have begun and ended with the moderators (as far as the site is concerned.) Two people who responded to this very thread have said that they have also been threatened. I didn't see them come on the boards to round up a posse or start a coalition against someone. *That* is the part that is disturbing. . .that this person charged with being a "protector" of someone couldn't come up with a better way of handling the situation.

I'm with the others.. report it to the administrator. In an Alt chatroom one time, some psycho threatened to kill me.. I reported it, and they deleted his membership (and this was Alt, who aren't exactly known for their customer service.. *L*).

I'm sorry this happened to her; it sounds like an upsetting experience. As to being afraid of him, does she have any reason to believe that he could find out her personal information (address, etc)? If not, I'd suggest to her that there are, unfortunately, a lot of wack jobs on the net who get off on doing stuff like that... it's very, very rare for it to go further (as in trying desperately to track her down, etc).

If she does believe he knows who she is/how to find her, she really needs to contact the authorities. If she wants to write to me, my Master has extensive law enforcement knowledge, and i'm sure he'd be happy to advise her. But, if it's just an anonymous to anonymous threat, she, in 99% likelihood, has nothing to fear. And one psycho doesn't change the positive experiences she's had here... don't let the bastards get you down, i like to say. :)

the one time i was threatened on a "group site" the mods handled it on the boards, when the moron continued off-site, i copied the emails to my Master.........He took care of the issue, told me not to worry. LOL.........i never heard from the person again....

Just be careful. There are several problems with this whole "Oh! This person threatened me! Remove him from the site, moderators!" thing.

First, it's easy to say "X threatened me!" If the moderators/admin are stupid, they'll take you at face value. YOU could be the next person someone's claiming to have been threatened by. Unjustly, I might add. It's an easy way of harrassing someone without actually doing the harrassing.

Second, getting someone removed from the site just forces them to become a new identity. It forces them to re-disquise themselves so you don't know they're dangerous. Sure, they could do it at any time, but removing them from the site isn't permanent at all, except in those cases where someone has a guaranteed static IP (which are actually quite rare, as even static IP addresses assigned by broadband ISPs can be changed if you have a clue). "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer."

Third, and finally, having the admin remove someone who's threatening bodily harm won't actually stop them in the real world. Admin should be your FIRST step. The police should be your second.

First to those of you who know me and emailed me today, thank you. Some of you looked to see that my friend and my man posted the subject earlier and I signed on a little while ago. I have sent a message to support to report the incident. Also when I signed on there was another horrible email from the girl I originally sent a message to. By the way, the original email was to ask a quick question, was to ask this girl something about flying into northern wisconsin and if she knew about a specific area, vanilla, nothing to do with anything.

Well "xxx" sent me an email, her master must have had an effect on her, someone named xxx, is that the size of his dick or his brain, or both. her message to me is pasted below

"HOW FUCKING DARE YOU ATTACK xxx. I DONT HAVE TO FUCKING ANSWER YOUR GOD DAMN FUCKING QUESTION AND IF YOU WERE REAL YOU WOULD FUCKING KNOW TO RESPECT THE DAMN PROFILE AND CONTACT MY PROTECTOR FIRST. WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU TO THINK THAT I HAVE TO ANSWER ANY FUCKING QUESTION YOU HAVE. I DONT ANSWER TO YOU OR YOUR ASSHOLE MASTER OR ANYONE ELSE. I wanted to make this a separate post, my guy does a lot of political consulting and on his desk at work this afternoon I saw he had a call sheet for the attorney general's office in the state of washington where xxx brain resides, we will see who gets the last laugh.

No one suggested asking the mods to remove the supposed offender. The suggestions were to bring the situation to the mods attention. Slight difference there.

Changing your IP address isn't going to be much help in masking your identity. DHCP lease logs will point to the offending customer just as easily as if he had a static IP address. When threats/harassment is involved, ISPs are remarkably helpful in tracking down these individuals.

I'd disagree.

I'd say the first step is contacting the mightiest most awesomely powerful the exalted protector of all online threats, harrassment, or nuisances ... the White Knight From Up On High Of All Computers Everywhere - the power button.

It's amazing, it's fast, and there is no argument. It slices, it dices, it shuts them up. lol

Second step is blocking or ignoring them. Just kill them off and go your own way, and leave them to their sad little selves.

If it goes beyond THAT - then seek a moderator or finally the police.

But really, I have a really hard time taking any threats from online seriously. lol

And I've had more than my share of nut-jobs stalking me.

Exercise your right and your ability to turn OFF the computer or to use the block or ignore features that most sites have on them.

Easy peasy. Situation dealt with.

Are you kidding me? All I see is a profane rant and the only threat is they will delete your next e-mail unread.

So now you want to ban them from the site for sending this response. I'll bet they would like to ban you for sending what they consider to be stupid questions. This all seem so childish to me that I'm embarrassed to even be responding to it, but I think you should even be more embarrassed for taking it so so seriously and then trying to get other folks riled up about it.

I happen to know from first hand experience that AOL is not and does not help in any way. I had a nice list of 30-40 harrassing messages and comments sent to me, complete with time, date, and IP address, sent them to AOL, and was told flat out that they would do nothing. I don't know about other ISPs, but you can't depend on an ISP to assist in any fashion.

I don't suppose that you were responding in kind to those harassing messages, were you? Based on your posts here, you don't appear to be the kind of person that would ignore such "attention". I would be surprised if you weren't giving as good as you got. With that in mind, I'm hardly surprised that AOL wouldn't help you. They generally don't get involved in pissing matches between end users (nor should they) unless the law is being broken.

Now, if your ISP contacted them on your behalf after determining it was not such a pissing match, the outcome might have been different.

Having worked for an ISP in the past and having dealt with many others during that time, I'm going to have to disagree with your there. In cases of *real* abuse, ISPs (including AOL) are very helpful.
