Ok as most of ya'll know I am now living on the Savannah river. Can we say alligators, barn owls and grass hoppers the size of small kittens?? It has taken me weeks to get used to the noises I now hear at night. Grunting sounds would be more appropriate...and not the kind I like at all. The rain, which falls every day at 5pm is now falling at 3pm. It is very depressing. Most times I like the rain and where I live looks like a rain forrest. But today, I am missing my family. More specifically, I am missing my brother and my sisters who have died.
I have to say that sometimes I read the polls and random stupidity threads and I wonder does anyone really read what others write?
I think I just need to flog someone. I will feel ever so much better :)
Where is that pesky Benji when he is most needed? <g>

How is this post for random thoughts? lol I know, my brain is in overdrive and I am just typing as I am thinking. Sometimes a good thing, most times not. I hope ya'll are having a better day in your corners of the world.

Wow, the alligators are only the size of small kittens???  They grow much bigger down here in FL.

*eg*  just couldn't resist that play on words.

Hope you feel better soon.

LOL! Oh sheesh this is the reason I don't participate to much on these forums <s> The grasshoppers are the size of small kittens...the gators on the other hand are the size of small cars lol <hugs> Thank  you, it has stopped raining, that helped :)

Debbie, I hope that I was not coming across as complaining. I normally love the rain, today it made me sad. But I do understand that parts of this country are experiencing drought. I wish I could send them some of this rain that falls every day here :)

Ok, silver-lining: I don't have to wash my car as much as I used to <s>

I think it sounds kind of nice, not the thinking of people that have passed part.  I do that sometimes myself.  Most of my family and I don't talk.  I really only have my mom and brother.  There seems to be a wedge there now, not sure how to get rid of it.

I used to love being in the country, opening the windows or sitting on the porch at night..just listening to the sounds.  Now if I do that, I hear car horns and the people next door fighting.  It's like that here sometimes, seems like it can rain for days.  It sort of gets bothersome, but as long as the tornadoes stay away, I won't complain too much.

I don't like the lonely days, but I use them to figure things in my life out.  I have been doing that a bit today.

I hope your evening is better for you.  My roommate rented some sad, sappy, romantic..makes you cry type of movies.  Maybe I can get it out that way..lol

Andrea,
The problem with me and sappy, make you cry type of movies, is that I laugh at them lol I laughed through-out the whole movie of Titanic. My sister kept shushing me lol but I couldnt help it. I am simply not wired to cry at sad movies ..hmm..sounds like a song <g>

I used to rent boats and cruise along the river, I always envied people who had their own docks and I could smell their bbq's. Now, I am one of those people and here I sit complaining about the rain, which I didnt really mean it as a complaint.

My friend said to me once as he was checking out this beautiful woman, with a killer body and perfect skin, he said "You know, somewhere there is a man who hates her". It basically put that whole envy thing in perspective for me <s>

Oohhh MoGa, how I wish I could share some of my weather with you.It is somewhere in the high 70's and sunny. Unfortunately I have had to spend most of it indoors in the kitchen (the damned applesauce ) BUT thanks to living in a house with plenty of huge windows its not too bad. I have found plenty of opportunity to make quick trips outdoors. I am getting ready to throw a pork loin on the grill that I have been marinading. After awhile a few yams will go on also. Then I have a few perinnials I need to get planted before they blow out the pots I bought them in. I just wish it was not, back to work, tomorrow.

Your day sounded great! I just hurt my back a couple hours ago and I am in such pain I can barely sit. If it doesnt get better, a trip to the ER may be in order :(

MoGa

I am totally with your OP. I am from texas but I have never lived this close to the coast. And where we are now is almost on top of a bayou. The rain this year here is so not typical of this area I am told.  I have just been here since August of last year, And bejesus...I really feel like a soggyfaerie. I generally tho would rather have the rain than this blasted damn heat. I miss my blueridge mountains although I was only there for about 1 1/2 years. I am not a fan of texas, never have been. I dont like cities and have rarely had to live dead center of one. Give me the boondocks or edge city living anyday.  I could also never live in an apartment. I like my space and my privacy.

the mosquitos here are the size of those damn kittens. The alligators sometimes seem as big as a 4x4 truck.  And the stench of that bayou sometimes after a heavy rain makes me think of Debbies dead dear carcus in her yard.

i cant complain to much tho because it is country living which I do love. There is a fully screened in porch and pool area..so I can stay bug free. I love the sound of rain and the wicked ass storms the gulf and texas can brew.

And I miss all my grandparent....and I dread my parents passing, my father is in very poor health with all his heart problems, being diabetic, his emmense lung problems, he cant breathe without oxygen and he also has one of the worst cases his dr has seen with sleep apnea, and that is just the bad stuff.  My step mom called the other day and he has pneumonia again, if it doesnt get better he will have to go to the hospital.  I have tried to spend as much time as I can with him the last several years. I feel I have to make up because I wasnt all that tight with him when I was a kid....he was always traveling for his work.  And I sooooo dread the day I get "that" call. When I visit I will generally spend at least a month with him, which is hard on me because his home is just not my safe place. I feel guilty every time I come home.

And then I am moving again...god I hate that word.  It even more loverly than here. I have a full view of the local lake, the water is but 50 yards from my upstairs window.  I saw it for the first time on Friday.   I am excited as well as terrified, this is a huge place. And my new safe place is mega huge to me. Hell my closet there is bigger than previous rooms I have had as a safe place.  But I do think all in all its good.  It is closer to people which I hope will end this shell of a life I live...

I have taken big steps for a little faerie today.

I do hope this is what you intended for this thread.....simple plain rambling and babbling...if not I did do my job as a pro thread hijacker.

Im done for now I think....but one never knows...there are always tangents brewing in peoples mind after all.

Has anyone noticed how many super hot lesbians that will only talk to women and never to other men are on this site?  Seems like there are almost as many super-hot lesbians as there are men!

Sage,

I'm so sorry to hear that.  I hope that you will be able to find comfort in knowing he is without pain or sickness, that his soul is free and he can love you from on high.
