Something freaky that happened in the office once. I pretended to one of the new girls that I was psychic and told her I could predict who her next three phone calls would be from. It was just a joke and we didnt have caller ID. Guess what? I got the next five calls right. She was totally freaked out, as was I by that stage!

Also when I was in my early twenties and played yahtzee a fair bit with the out-laws, (yes, it was a thrilling time!), I could predict fairly reliably what people would roll, who would win and their winning score.

Lastly, but less impressively, I could also always predict when it would rain - regardless of clouds in the sky or not. This was very useful as I worked out of doors in those days, and much appreciated by all! I also always knew exactly what the time was when I worked out doors, without referring to the sun or anything like that.

I would reason that these last two feats were the result of acclimatisation to the out door environment, but as for the first two I have no idea, although at that time I was doing a lot of work with the runes and maybe had some connection to something? All I know is that nowadays I cant do any of these things any more - otherwise I'd be happily retired having been banned from every casino worldwide!

We had a (short and not really very fruitful) discussion about the Randi test protocols back in October.  It emerged in this thread:

For those of you with psychic abilities -- do you have any insight into why any credible blinded test of ability to read minds, foresee the future, and similar things has failed? Are these gifts limited when they're being tested? Are the practitioners offended at being tested in this manner? I want to believe, but when all credible evidence runs to the contrary and all evidence is unverifiable anecdote, I have trouble. Not that it's your job to convince me, but I wonder, as people with these abilities, if you have any ideas as to why these abilities can't be confirmed objectively? Thanks!

Hmmm.  Psychic phenomena.  Well, I believe in a lot of paranormal activities, that is for sure, but seeing as how every single professed psychic has proven to be a fraud, psychic abilities do not make My list.
