Arpig -> RE: does age matter in a sub (8/25/2006 8:00:55 PM)

Well given that you are younger than me, I would say even if it did matter it wouldn't be an issue with you.

Actually nothing matters except the person..not age, not skin colour, not ethnicity, not weight, not religious background...the only thing that matters is the two people involved and how they do or do not click

IronBear -> RE: does age matter in a sub (8/26/2006 2:08:32 AM)

Ahmen to that Arpig my friend. I concur completely. Don't you get pissed off when others who have a tendency to both interfere and judge people by their own standards, buy into the relationships of others especially when they have not a clue of the dynamics surrounding the couple?

As an "ageless" woman, i've discovered that common goals is what makes relationships work regardless of age.  Generally a 25 year-old will have much different goals in life than one who is 55.  However, that is just generalization.  i tend to get along best with men and women who are younger and mainly because i started my family at an older age than most so it's easier to have common ground with younger people.  The only time age becomes an issue for me is when there are not common goals or when people make assumptions about me based on my age.

Attraction is the most important aspect to folks when they are younger,
However as we age intellect and attitude becomes more important in compatibility. For me Attitude is the most important aspect is the interaction between the two. I will admit to prefering sub/slaves who are not ecessively overweight. [image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m24.gif[/image]   The exception are those who make an effort with their  clothing  and makeup. Because weight can be lost making it temporary  where attitude generally isn't.   [image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m26.gif[/image]

Age didnt matter to me when I was 22. Now that Im 47, age matters. Go figure.

Skier -> RE: does age matter in a sub (8/27/2006 6:42:26 PM)

Age isn't the important criterion. I'm seeking an LTR, so someone around my age would probably make things easier. I'm also a kind of Mentor/Daddy/Coach, so younger women seeking, for instance, to get in shape, pursue an education, or just affirmation from a father figure appeal to me as well.

FelinePersuasion -> RE: does age matter in a sub (8/27/2006 6:59:43 PM)

Any one I want to be involved with must be 21 or over. I want to go clubbing and I want to go out drinking and any one not 21 can't go with me.   I know how shallow of me, I could always choose not to go or find places 18 plus not 21 plus. But it's far easier for me to find 21 plus people than 18 + clubs.

petertherock40 -> RE: does age matter in a sub (8/29/2006 6:45:07 AM)

Age is not a problem if your attitude is right.  I know sexy 70's and 20's.  The 75 year old is amazing.

raiken -> RE: does age matter in a sub (8/29/2006 9:41:08 AM)

To me it is about being truly young in spirit, and amazingly, the body also responds and feels and looks younger too!  It is just that type of energy that will often disprove or contradict the age "old" numbers game.  Of course as n anything, the laws of mutual attraction also apply.  Age is more of a societal conditioning tainted with that aire of tabu, and for some, it is more about doing the "peacock strut" with the "trophy/arm piece", or for others, to prove to the world and themselves that they still "got it" because they can attract a younger number.

wild1cfl -> RE: does age matter in a sub (8/29/2006 9:47:03 AM)

No age does not matter to me at all. I have known great submissives that are 20 years older than me and I have known great submissives that are 20 years younger than me. The young Lady that my wife and I are in a relationshipwith now is 20 years younger than me and she is more mature and honest with us than the previous one that was in her 40s. It is the person inside that counts not the number of years they have been on this earth. What I have realized about age is that many submissives and Dominants that are older do have more experience to share and I enjoy learning from both submissives and Dominants that are willing to share their knowledge with me.

Greetings A/all

After having a year out to heal after a broken heart i came back to the lifestyle to find friends , listen to things and if i can put some input in to some subjects  i will

im not looking ....          but what i found from  many mail i had was an underlineing question AGE and when i talked to some people it was stated many go for the younger sub ... is this so ?

have i been out so long that its come down to age and not a good match ?

do i put myself out to grass now ?

The only real issues I have found with older subs is some insisting on clinging to habits and mindsets thay had from long gone masters. They were not looking for a new master, but a carbon copy replacement for an old one.

I found this to be a bit insulting and overly difficult to deal with-acceptance wise.. Beyond that, age is only an issue if it diminshes physical or mental health to the point of dysfunction.

raiken -> RE: does age matter in a sub (8/29/2006 9:58:16 AM)

Everyone wrestles with that need to compare and contrast.  i remember when my best nilla friend and her husband divorced.  After a year or so, she began the dating process.  For at least the first year, i would always hear form her that "no one compares".  As long as she clung to that old mindset, she wasn't able to allow for the new to come in.  I believe it took her at least two more years to let it go, and finally she was able to move on and is happy in her current relationship.  Oddly enough, or perhaps not so odd at all...lol...is that her current partner is NOTHING like her ex. *smile

Fixations on the past can be difficult to deal with. Try dealing with a widower who exhalted her dead husband to saint status. No one can win in a situation like that-you cannot compete with a ghost someone refuses to let lie in peace.

stockingluvr54 -> RE: does age matter in a sub (8/29/2006 10:14:51 AM)

Think I'd prefer someone near my age but wouldn't rule out anyone because of their age (within reason)? My last relationship was with a woman 15yrs my junior and one thing I did notice was a few smaller issues like different music tastes...style tastes...and some general generation type differences. Now that I look back on it.... we never really could just have a nice long talk about "growing up" or "remember back in school" or those types of discussions? We just came from semi different times and didn't have those times in common? Little things like that didn't seem to make a difference then but now that I look back on it....I really think they did...???? jmho.......

PS...we always hung with MY friends because she moved halfway acrossed the country to be with me. So the poor girl didn't have any of her old peers around to BS with and she did state one time that she was feeling old. I think us older bastards finally ground her down...lol? Anyways...it was pretty good for 2.5 yrs. Think I'll stick with someone closer to my age group......

isn't age just a state of the mind ..
i am finding the older i get . .. the younger i feel

daredevil865 -> RE: does age matter in a sub (8/29/2006 9:29:42 PM)

Since I was a teenager I felt my soul has been around for a long long time..so if age matters I should be looking for a old old soul...Does age matter to me not at all...what matters is ..the fire that burns in her belly

I put health and maturity over a silly number. Telling me how old you are does nothing for me as it does not suggest compentence, inteligence, common sense, nor sophistication.

[&:]greetings

i will not read the repyies to this post but i will say this i think anyone 20 and under is not to be in this lifestly age matter i can remember as a younger person i thought i wanted a master i have one i adore now but then i did not know much of anything, they are very unsure of what to do someone may expoy them i think they should be able to grown and then learn what they want.

so of the younger 19 are dpression and want someone to beat it out fo thiem i think they are the ones to leave alone if someon wants someone that young you do not need to be hear at

all this is for adult if they can not drink then do we as the dominants know they should not have the right state of mind to deal with all of the things we have on here . i would not want any domme coming aftter son i would want to hurt someone. i say let them grow first then and only then do they have the mind to know what they want. i will not go with anyone under 30 that is it (sorry when excite my dyslexic comes on to strong )

Ladyofthemanor -> RE: does age matter in a sub (8/30/2006 8:39:23 AM)

my Master prefers older women, always has!  He likes that the woman has LIVED a life, and that a certain age they no longer have issues with their body, and certain bdsm activities, like younger ones do.  Oh and his age preference is like 50+, LMAO don't know how he got me at a young 34!!!

Well ladyofthemanor, your posted age is 99, so maybe He was hoping that was your real age (grinning).
