The presidential election is upon us.

Jeb Bush and Arnold. Will they win?

This thought came to my mind this morning as I was watching the news before coming to work. I heard jeb Bush was going down for disaster relief in Asia. He has vast knowledge. Yep, uh huh whatever they say. Almost sounds as if they are trying to get him more involved for the 2008 race.

I feel the same way but it is a way to keep a bush in office to wreck more havoc on the nation. Hand over more of America to the Saudi's. Keep us in the gulf. Well, as we all know I could go on and on.

Frightening thought. I sure hope it doesn't come true.

I hope Kerry runs again!

No WAIT - I hope Kerry Does NOT run again!!

Really though, I hope Kerry runs again!

Nah, come to think of it Kerry shouldn't run again.

Well, MAYBE Kerry should run, but only if better weather is predicted for November 2008 in Ohio.

No - Kerry shouldn't ren - It's never good weather during November in Ohio.

Well, if Kerry's wife thinks it's okay he should run.

Actually Kerry's wife is a pain in the ass and Kerry shouldn't run.

No WAIT - I AM John Kerry!!!

I know someone here will correct me for being incorrect should that be the case... soooooooooooooooo, can someone who is not a natural born citizen be Vice Prez? I know they can't run for president of the USA. Would have to change the constitution for that to take place. Besides, the question is moot. Hilliary will be the next prez. Everyone knows that.

The office of Vice President is subject to the same requirements the office of President is.

I don't know how widespread it is. Although they are trying to get the constitution changed so Arnold can run. It was all over the news here a couple of weeks back. Not a clue if they can or can not do it.
I have no idea if they would even do something like that. That was just the first thought that came to mind when I heard Jeb was going to Asia. What better way to keep a Bush in the office rather than a new bush. Get Arnold to run with...it could happen.
Who would run against and have half a chance? Hillary and who?
Anyway, I'm hoping my speculation doesn't have any weight at all.

i hope you are right, dixiedumpling, but i know SOOO many people here in conservative Oklahoma that hate her, it makes me wonder. i think people are intimidated by an intelligent, successful woman (particularly those that are not so intelligent and sucessful themselves). i know in this part of the country, anyway, a lot of people are more comfortable with the idea of women as maids and baby makers.

Hopefully i am dead wrong!

At least Arnold is somewhat liberal/moderate on some issues... he supported the stem cell research initiative they just passed in CA. (i have one of "those" diseases that may be helped with stem cells, so my feelings on this subject are strong).

Actually ... the RNC is looking at John McCain (my hero) and Condoleeza Rice. Regardless of what she says, Hillary will run. I mean, Bill never told the truth ... why should Hillary? <<turning flame retardant suit on>>

Politics is a touchy subject. But if I may give my opinion based on personal experience. I joined the Navy in 1978 when Jimmy Carter was President. There was no pride in being a serviceman/woman and the public's opinion of the military was low. I spent 8 months off the coast of Iran because Carter didn't have the spine to go into Iran (in force) and get our hostages out. When Reagan was elected, that all changed. The Soviet Navy was turned into a rusting hulk of scrap metal because they couldn't keep pace with us. The Cold War was really more about spending the Soviets into bankruptcy than anything else. The communist economy couldn't keep pace with Capitalism.

During Desert Storm, there was such an upsurge of pride in being military. For once we were allowed to do what we were trained and equipped to do. Then Bill came along and defense manning and spending went into the toilet, but global requirements remained the same. And I can tell you that among our military, Bill Clinton was probably the most unpopular President we've ever had.

Things are on an even kilter in the military now ... morale wise, at least. I'm still in the Navy 25 years later, but if Hilary is elected, I'm outa here before things go to crap again.

On the issue of Iraq ... I pray to God that if we're ever ruled by a murderous despot (WMD or not), Australia or Canada will invade us and set us free. We look at the daily deaths in Iraq without remembering the thousands of innocents murdered and slaughtered by Hussein during his reign of terror.

hillary will be presindent??? I hope not- That woman is scary... and I don't think she's a good person- I do not trust her... Socialized medicine??? that should tell you everything-I know first hand what socialized medicine does to medical care- I think Condy Rice is by far a better person and more qualified professional- I would like to see Cheney run, Cheney/ Rice would be a good ticket, of Rudy Guliannni (sp), or any Libertarian that will not undermind the war against terror effort (yes it's absolutely necessary)

my political position? Some would say I am a:

right wing atheist or a

morally-challenged republican

I am just a cuban libertarian, very much to the right when it comes to economic issues (yes, the small business owner is FAR more important than the artist), that grew up in a communist country and knows how important it is that the United States stays STRONG, and that firmly believes in freedom and the responsibilities that come with it- like taking care of yourself and your family- ( ex: don't have a child if you can't afford it- you should buy diapers and formula with YOUR OWN money) Don't have the money? ask your parents, your church or charity- don't run to the government/ us-. Still can't find the money? Your child should be taken away- the baby CANNOT suffer- I will gladly take care of her/ him as a tax payer- but I don't want to take care of your lazy butt, or stupid butt, or wrong desicion making butt.

I think drugs should be legal. ALL of them-because is the princple behind it and whatever principle applies to pot applies to heroin and such- I don't do drugs, not interested anymore (I guess at 32 I'm getting old ;) ) but if you want to do them, go right ahead- why should another man prevent you from doing what you want with your body?

uff!!! well...it was my first post...I wanted to make it count - :p

alwayz: Thank you for your service- Jimmy Carter? he goes to Cuba and gives credit to a dictator with his mere presence... then he goes to Venezuela and "certifies" that everything went ok with the election...an election that couldn't be more fraudulent-

as of Irak- I agree 100%- I don't know what the world would be without this country- I was born and raised in a country under the rulke of a dictator and understand that, unless the US and the world unites to help, they oppressor will not be removed- Do we have to lose american lives for other people- arguable issue- certainly one of the things that makes this country great- despite a lot of hate (envy)-

I don't know much- but looking into the Irak effort- I think it was a necessary move on our part- that part of the world needs to be fixed, and if in the process we liberate millions, better yet. Why Irak? WHY THE HECK NOT!!!!!!!!!!! Where do you suggest we start Mr./ Mrs. military strategist????

Hillary Clinton President of the United States??? Oh Lordy, that's a terrible thought!
Jeb Bush already made it clear he was not going to run, at least that's what i have heard, but personally i wish he did run he's been a great governor thus far and i am sure would be a great leader for our country... i don't think Hillary has a shot in hell of being president, no matter how much the media might want us to believe it, i think the american people know better.
