I know... this subject has probably been convered many, many times. But I just gotta know... Has anyone ever had a piercing done, took it out, have it heal a little but always itch?

Lemmie explain... I pierced my cartaligde(SP?) on my ear. Waited nine months before changing the stud to a ring. It got infected, and I had to take out the ring, and let it heal. There's still a hole half way through the skin, but sometimes it just itches like a hell! It can't STILL be healing, can it? It's been over nine years.

Is it a bad idea to re-pierce the same spot, if  there's already a hole half way through? Hehe, I want to get my tongue re-pierced.

I think you can repierce through the same hole, it just hurts like hell because it goes through scar tissue.  The best thing to do would be to ask the piercer.

My earlobe piercings still itch occasionally, even after being pierced 15 or so years.  And, I dont wear earrings.

I've heard that the one thing you should do if a piercing gets infected is to NOT take out the piercing.  If you do then the piercing closes up and the infection has no way to drain.  This might be your problem.  Talk to your piercer.

I've removed (and generally had redone) nine or ten, but none in cartilage.

Cartilage does take much longer to heal than softer tissue; for some people a hole in cartilage never completely closes.  It is possible that a bit of scar tissue inside the old piercing is causing the irritation.

As for repiercing; consult a reputable piercer is likely the best advice.

My Dom teases me about having my nipples and/or my clit pierced.  One of my hard limits was, and is, no permanent damage ... so it's just a tease by Him, but I think about it ...  Who out there has these piercings, and what are the advantages/disadvantages?  (As much as He likes nipple play, I imagine my nipples being torn off!)

Talk to your piercer. They have the best info.

Some people just take crazy long to heal cartilage. I'm lucky in that my ears heal really fast, but even with my my last cartilage peircing took about 8 months to be totally healed. They still get sore if I slepe on them wrong. (I have 12 peircings in my ears, and my lobes are stretched to 4 gauge)

I've peirced over healed peircings. Didn't notice it hurt more than anywhere else. Still, talk to your peircer first.

I have both nipples and my clit hood pierced (not the clit itself, wouldn't go there).  The increased sensitivity in my nipples is sometimes almost too much to handle for me, but Daddy and I love the look.  Also the vertical hood piercing is absolutely the most wonderful thing I've ever had done for myself.  The advantages far outway the disadvantages, and honestly, there is little chance of permanent damage as long as He's not attaching bowling balls or the like to your nipple rings.

There have been enough posts on here about migrating nipple piercings, that I have decided never to have that done.  I do so enjoy nipple torture as well.  Having to leave them alone while they heal would be unbearable!  And then, after all that, if they migrated, left scars and needed to come out anyway.  Oh hell!  I'll find some other way to play.  Hmmmm......three part clamps are really nice

I have my clit hood pierced, it is very sensitive and the benefits, so to speak, are multiple.
