I find the best course of action if one wants to be owned is behave as if one was - i.e. showing the Dommes out there what you can be like if they bring you into their lives, what benefit you might be. If on the other hand, you play up and misbehave because hey why not....then why would that attract positive attention?

And when I say playful for example I mean taking my crop and running across the room and then handing it to me when I hold my hand out..playful yet obedient. With the right timing it keeps things in my view fun, BUT if your disobeying rules she's laid out thats a totally different matter. You have to obey the rules and thats all there is to it or you will end up looking for a new Domme. No one wants a disobedient brat that they have to correct over and over like a small child. My sub is playful and so am I, but when it comes down to it he obeys or he KNOWS there will be consquences and he doesn't want to go there. Some Domme's do not like playfulness they are all seriousness and that is a personality trait that you will have to decide if you can deal with or not. ~Lashra

I generally establish with a new dom whether they are into willing submission or "take down" type scenes. I enjoy both but I wouldn't try resistance unless I knew my partner liked to play that way. I disagree with the people here saying there's no place at all for willful disobedience. It has its place, either with two people who enjoy that kind of play OR in a long term relationship where you have some established attachment to draw on. With my Dom over time, sometimes I forget my place and lose my sense of subiness. I can remind HIM to remind ME who is boss by acting up a bit. But I already know he is okay with that, and knows what message I am trying to send when I do that. In my experience, women tops are less likely to have a sense of humor around this. Ditto new tops. Ditto new RELATIONSHIPS. So maybe drop it for a while?
