I have learned if there were as many available women as there appear to be in My area in the advertising pics on the main page of Collarme on the right that I probably would never have logged into Collar to begin with ;)

And to think of what I have been missing all this time too ;)

I have learned that being collared is not what this is all about and that trust in a relationship is the single most important thing.  Constantly learning O/others views and deciding for myself where they might fit within my own submission.

Julia, "furries" I know! I never even knew that existed before!
As for the "Human Toilet" thread I think I'll take a pass.

What have you learned in here that you didn't know about or only knew a little about before comming in here?

I have learned that there is indeed something for everyone, from the mild to the wild and everywhere in between and beyond.  I have also learned that there are real people here as well as fakes and phonies.  There are people here who do incredible work for their community, raise families and still have time to help others online as well.  I learn something new everyday here (many times a day in fact).

I've been posting on these boards for about 2-3 months now and for someone who's been involved in B&D S&M, M/s lifestyles for 18 years I've learned a Tremendous amount in here.
Pony Play, new types of gear, and a whole lot about the psychological aspects of the lifestyle.
What have you learned in here that you didn't know about or only knew a little about before comming in here?

I have rediscovered the joy of sharing my thoughts and feelings with other persons in the virtual realm. I've found a community filled with people who exhibit a various levels of knowledge, experience, and an inspiring passion for the lifestyle that I hadn't witnessed before. It is a welcome feeling when another's words can bring about an opportunity for growth and personal enhancement. Your personal stories and questions add another level of richness to my journey. For that I am most grateful.

Specifically, more about Polyamory and Sadism than I ever thought I would. And other things too numerous to mention.

I have learned that subs are in control and doms are only being allowed a little freedom, that people that dabble in bdsm on weekends are real while those that live it are fake, that submission is a gift but allowing a slave her next breath isn't a gift, that anyone is at liberty to ignore dictionaries and make up their own meanings for words and still expect others to understand them, and that beating someone with a whip or flogger is an act of behavior correction and not sadism.

You folks crack me up sometimes, really!

That there is much more smoke and mirrors to this than reality.

And if you do make it real, you just ignore about 95% of what is posted here.

Not learned but reinforced..

Some people are right bastards and need shooting...
Some people sit on fences and have not the courage to venture an opinion...
Some people are pure gold!!!!!!

i've learned that there are a lot of people out there that think like i do.  for a long time i assumed i was in a very small minority.

i've learned there are as many ways of experiencing the lifestyle as there are people on the board...it's different for everone and they're all right (for themselves).

i've learned specifics about things i'm interested in.

i've had tons of questions answered (both asked and unasked...thank you search feature)

I've found that there are others like me out there. I've found that I am not the only one who is contacted by Dom/mes who don't bother to read my profile or only send one-word messages. I've found that it's okay for me to be myself.

*PUSH*

Now it makes you Humpty Dumpty.

The most important thing I've relearned on Collarme is that it is fun to post in the forums again.  That, and some things best kept to myself.

M. Popeye-

I have learned that there are depths to my depravity,
that there are limits to me patience,
and that when we think we are the same, the more different we become, and vice versa.

Stay warm,
Lawrence

I've also learned that it's okay to say "no" to a Dom/me and tell them exactly what I think even when it's not appreciated. An important lesson for anyone to learn, me thinks!

Gee, i have been googling stuff on this thread for hours!  lmao'ing at the quotes, and generally piercing the bulging carbuncle of human ignorance.

however, the lemmings are starting to look pretty good to me too.

did y'all know that the Code of the Odalisque leads to a Sneaky Gene Theory?
