Democrats can't win without my vote.

Democrats can't win without my vote. - 9/2/2006 9:31:11 AM

Status: offline 		Democrats can't win without my vote. Until they realize that
they will continue to lose election after election.
 
I am for universal health care.
I believe in a fully-funded legal aid.
I am a member of the Sierra Club.
I think Al Gore won.
I am for defendant's rights.
I think police lie often.
I am for liberalizing laws between consensting sex partners.
I would legalize prostitution.
I would allow 18 year-olds to drink.
I would legalize drugs, even though I have never used drugs.
I support trial lawyers and large punative awards.
I think the woman who got third degree burns from hot scalding coffee should have gotten the award the jury gave her.
I think Microsoft should be broken up like Standard Oil was broken up.
I think Bill Gates should be in prison for grossly violating the Sherrman Anti-Trust Act, and stealing MS-DOS from Gary Kildall.
I am against super max prisons, and believe inmates should be held in human conditions.
I am for more government help to the poor and the disabled.
I am for judges who favor the little guy, and individual rights.
 
Yet, can't vote for any Democtratic candidate for the following reasons,
 
I am a super hawk, neo-con when it comes to foreign policy.
I think female crack addicts need to be Norplanted.
I believe in long prison sentences for those who deliberately injure strangers.
I believe in the death penalty for cases where guilt has been established 100%
I believe in the policy position of the NRA.

Status: offline 		I'd bet the segment of the population that believes in universal health care, and also believes the female crack addicts should be Norplanted, is less than 1%.  So, yeah, either party could win without your vote.  Sorry to bust your bubble.

by your picture you appear to be very young so i truely can say this, but i have been a registor democrate long before your were a thought in your mothers eye. And long before you came along they have won many elections, Kenndy, Carter, and Clinton the most recent. So before you make such a bold and hate to say it but not better phrasing, stupid comment . may i strongly suggest you take a Poly si class at your local collage you might learn a thing or two

way, that picture was taken when I was over 40.  Age means nothing as far as knowledge,
wisdom and intelligence.  There is no fool like an old fool.  Poly-sci classes are for idiots. 
Dick Morris got Bill elected.  Mark my words, no Democrat soft on foriegn policy will
ever get elected. That is what defeated Kerry.  If any Democrat has a chance of getting
elected, it is Hillary. No other has a snowball's chance in Sol.

My vote is representative of a large part of America.
I am fairly liberal on most issues.  If a politician is too
liberal for me, chances are they are much too liberal
for the average voter.  Democrats today are where
the Christian right was in the 1970s.
 
The Christian right woudn't support a candidate that
didn't follow their party line 100%.  Then they got
practical and decided to get the best they could
get under the given set of circumstances.  They
put up candidates who could win, instead of
candidates that were purists.   They got practical.
Not it is Democrats who insist on party purity,
and who are not practical.    Democrats would
rather vote for a loser with their perfect set of
beliefs, than a winner whose beliefs are more
mainstream.  Like the "Moral Minority," too many
ultra liberals believe there are many more of
them than there are in reality.

The only one of those three ex presidents that would even have a snowball's chance of being able to represent the Democratic Party as it has become today, would be Carter. And we all know how great a job he did. If you read what Kennedy stood for and his policies, he sure doesn't sound like a modern day Democrat. "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country" alone would have him branded as an evil, mean spirited Republican. Not to mention the tax cuts he favored.
And if you really want to learn anything, the last thing you would want to do is take a poly/sci class in college.

I think the woman who got third degree burns from hot scalding coffee should have gotten the award the jury gave her.  I think she should have been beaten with a stupid stick.   There is no excuse to serve 212 degree coffee to someone in a moving vehicle without warning them that the coffee is scalding and spills can cause third degree burns.  When I serve really hot food at a table, I warn guests that the food is really hot and can burn them.  Hot coffee only needs to be 130 degrees.  You can't drink 130 degree coffee without getting burned.    212 degree coffee is a weapon.

I don't know who Kildall is,  He is the one who made micro-computing possible by creating the operating system Bill Gates stole.  but Gates is on the good side, as far as I can tell.  Bill Gates not only stole MS-DOS, he refused to do business with any company that offered any competitor's product, especially any operating system by Gary Kildall.  Then he had his employees spread false rumors about the Gary Kildall's operating system.  Finally, Bill Gates bought second-rate applications, and made them the defacto standard by forcing OEMs to bundle these applications on every computer they sold. 
I am against super max prisons, and believe inmates should be held in human conditions. Agreed. There's no excuse for the rape and drugs that are in our prisons.   There is no rape and drugs at supermax prisons.  Prisoners are held in windowless concrete coffins 24 hours a day, seven days a week until they lose their minds from sensory deprivation.
