Status: offline 		Ok, so I am seeing a theme, when the new moms take over some of them take liberties to distroy the other families stuff. I'd be so pissed the lady that distroyed my stuff would be looking to have her face rearranged ok, so I wouldn't do violence, but she would be  facing a law suit.

Could you sue the  lady for distroying yuor property? or do they have protections an stuff against that.

Status: offline 		I would bet that they (the series producers) would have you sign waivers (or some such) keep you from sueing them for loss of property.

Status: offline 		You sign up for the show knowing this could happen, if you have things that are sacred to you, remove them before the new mom comes to roost. I would not want to be on such a show, but it is fun to watch

To inform others, on Wife Swap, two mothers swap families for two weeks.  The first week, the new wife must abide by the family rules.  The second week, the new wife gets to create ANY new rules and the family must abide by them.

This week, a modern busy working mom was put into a household where they created a "middle ages household" with names, garb, rpgs, home schooling and the whole shebang.

When it came to her week to make the rules, she forbade ALL talk and mention of ANYTHING not modern and said that any time mention was made, one of their role play figures would be smashed with a hammer- and then smashed one to make an example.

People who know of them know just how much these can cost, both in the piece itself, but also all the time, paint, and effort put into it.  They are artworks and would be as bad as if someone had shredded your kids artwork on the fridge- and a lot more pricey.

They give the moms a LOT of leeway on the show- they've bought pets for the kids, changed the layout of the house, sold household items and more.  However, I do think actually destroying property is over the line.

The fact that we never actually see a piece get broken or even had the event mentioned again in the show leads me to think that maybe they didn't actually let that particular consequence stand.

Status: offline 		I wouldn't be on that show either Julia, And I guess yeah you do run the risk of the new mom distroying your stuff I would lock anything valuable up lol.

Status: offline 		I too thought, this was about wives being shared, but its the banter of the TV Show Wife Swap! :)

No biggie, just curious how popular is "spouse-sharing" really is?  If I ever get married, would the
lucky wife and I meet another couple who felt.... "Hey man, your wife is hot, you knock up my wife,
and I'll knock up yours!" :)

Did you see the WS before the midevil family? LA? She spraypainted all the mirrors so the dad couldn't preene any more lol.

I am so tuning into the pirates one in 2 weeks.
