BlueVelvet -> RE: pro dommes on here (9/7/2006 12:49:49 AM)

Oh naughtynick, so much to learn! To think that a pro domme has no choice over who s/he sees is quite frankly silly! (you forget that there are professional Masters out there as well as Mistresses?). Of course they have a choice, and I know many who choose thier clients very carefully indeed! From your posting, it is quite obvious that you strongly link BDSM to sex, well that's ok, it works for you, but please do not think that everyone else works under your rules! For many, many people, both Mistress, Masters and subs, this is a spirtual journey, a lifestyle, and yes it's about their sexuality, but not about sex per se. Many people use the title 'pro dom/me' (or other derivatives) when in fact they are not. A professional Dominant is simply that, someone who does what they love for a living. A professional Dominant is not someone who does it merely as a day job, nor are they someone who offers sex for money. A professional dominant is NOT a hooker with a whip (which it seems that you may have seen?). Why can't you live and let live? So you would not see another professional dominant, that's your choice, well done! And if your circumstances change, I hope that you would still feel the same way! And just as an aside, what's the difference between someone who does what they love for a living (and you call them pro dommes) and someone who makes kinky toys for a living? Both gain their income from within the BDSM community? Both do what they love? BV
