ORIGINAL: sub4hire Ok, with all this talk about yahoo. Exactly how do they get our e-mail address's in the first place to send us spam? Maybe I missed something. It is real late for me at the moment. I'm on my 22nd hour awake. I run a list on yahoo. I rarely get those unsolicited e-mails though. Primarily my lists are on topica. I just feel they are more user friendly. Anyway, back to the topic at hand. I have never received any e-mail from collarme and I know for a fact my e-mail address has never been given out. Collarme has my work address and I've never even gotten a piece of spam yet. Gloria, At first I considered that my participation on collarme might be where people were getting my name to send me invitations, but then I realized/remembered that my email address isn't available on here for the very reasons you state. I threw that thought away as a possibility. I wanted to get an idea if others were experiencing what I was experiencing (predominantly to try to determine if I was just experiencing yet another in a long, LONG history of attempts to contact me under assumed names by the aforementioned person). This is the easiest place in my current online partipication to get that feedback. I haven't really gotten an answer to that question, and perhaps it was silly of me to think that I would. I have realized that the current influx of invites may be a bit unique to me, though. That's helpful. Thanks for answering.
