Yesterday I saw the film 'Book of Revelation' in which three cloaked and masked women kidnap and sexually torture a young male dancer. The torture includes sodomy, CBT, genital piercing, bondage, forced masturbation etc (it's an extensive sequence of about 20-25min I estimate). The advertising for this film presented it as rape and the repercussions on males of the gender reversal etc. The interesting thing about this film is the beautiful way the film makers have presented the torture sequence, it is by far the most beautiful sequence in the film. The masked women are obviously beautiful and alluring and would have no need to capture a man for sex. They free him after 12 days with no permanent damage and he is left alone to go on with his life. Has anyone else seen this film and if so; what did you think of it? For a film supposedly focussed around the horror of rape, did you also find the torture scenes strangely erotic and appealing compared to a traditional rape scene?
