I wonder how many females into bdsm are tomboys,
who don't mind working on cars and fixing air conditioners?
Do you like camping?  Are you afraid of bugs?  Do you
like science fiction?   Can you put up with adverse weather?
Or do you complain when it is too hot or too cold outside?
Are you an outdoors female?   Are you a happy camper?
Do you do your own electrical wiring and your own drywall?

How many females into bdsm are vegetarians?  How
many vegetarian females seek a mate who is also
vegetarian?

How many females into bdsm are commitmented to
rescuing animals, helping orphans, and all humans
in need of help?

How many females into bdsm are bi?  If you are bi,
does your ideal family unit contain a female besides
yourself.

Anyone have recipes for mushroom barley soup,
butternut squash soup, tomato soup, bean soup,
onion soup, or any other vegetarian soups?

I am probably within the realm of tomboyishness, even if I'm not the ultimate example of one.

Although I have a mechanical aptitude, I've never pursued it much.  I just have a knack for fixing things when I need to.  I adore camping.  I am not afraid of bugs in general (I'm not wild about wasps).  I have no trouble getting stuck in bad weather, but I'm willing to mutter about hot/humid weather if that's ALL I ever get (Damn Texas).  I'm definately the outdoors type of female.

I'm not a vegetarian, although I have recently begun studying the positive properties of fruits, vegetables, nuts, and other non-animal foods.

I have been commited to helping animals in as many ways as I can possibly discover since I was five years old.  That will never change.  Yes, I do help people as well.

I'm definately not bi.

I don't have any specific recipes like that handy, but I'd have no trouble finding them if I wanted to look.  I enjoy trying new recipes.  I make a nice black beans and brown rice mix, but I have to admit that it tastes even better with cheese.

i am a 24/7 single working mom... that should answer most of the questions
i cannot do my own electrical wiring (never had to); i can drywall and have.

i live in the Pacific Northwest... of course i can put up with adverse weather (although i hate being cold and will occassionally complain about it).

i am not bi

yes to some of the soup recipes... the best fall soup there is, is pumpkin soup (made right in the pumpkin shell).

Definately the pumpkin, but if you have anything else specifically for the fall season, that'd be great too.  Thanks!

I was a natural tomboy, I hated dolls and dress up. I don't like sewing and if I cook someone else has to clean up. I rode a mini bike, played with BB guns and was the only girl in the *fort* on our block. When I got a bit older I loved fishing, hunting, bowling and hanging out with the guys. I love guns and medieval weaponary. I have quite a collection of daggers and a few swords.
I was never a girlie girl though I do like pretty lingerie, the color pink and puppies.
I worked for my Dad for a long time, he owned a construction company so I've done all sorts of home remodeling. The only projects I personally dont work on is plumbing, electrical or roofing, I hate roofing! Yep I did my entire basement by myself, drywall, painting, flooring etc. I have worked on cars and boats.
I love science fiction and horror, books, TV shows and movies.I can take adverse weather and have done so. I hate the heat because I am heat intolerant, I also can't take sun because of the medications I am on.
I hate camping and refuse to do it unless its in a nice air conditioned camper with a shower.
I am a carnivore, no vegetarian here.
I do love animals, particulary dogs, wolves and some cats. I own three dogs right now and had 2 cats.
I don't volunteer but I do donate money to animal charities and charities to help battered women. I also am a big adovate for equal rights and pro choice.
I am bisexual though right now I am in a committed relationship with my male sub.
No recipes at all here, I don't have that much time to cook.My sub loves to cook so that is his job.
As for my personality type, I am Dominant.

FR:

I've always had a tenuous relationship with the term "tomboy" as it feeds into so many stereotypes and expectations based on gender.  But yet it is an applicable term that seems to be useful towards its ends.

I'm extremely masculine in many of my personality traits, but I'd much more be considered a metrosexual.  My masculine traits come from aggression, dominance, competitiveness, seeking answers rather than support, and so on.

But yet I'm distinctly feminine as well.  It took me a LONG time to embrace my feminine side and see it as inner strength, rather than weakness.  But I'm glad I have, because until a person embraces ALL of who they are, they will always be fighting against themselves.

These questions are so bizarre, I will answer them:

I wonder how many females into bdsm are tomboys, (no, I am the ultimate femme)
who don't mind working on cars and fixing air conditioners? (no, that is what I either pay men for or get men to fix for me and I do nothing that would make me break a nail unless I am in a great scene, then I don't care, LOL)
Do you like camping? (not unless I am camped out at a nice hotel) Are you afraid of bugs? (yes, but more afraid of mice) Do you
like science fiction?   (yes) Can you put up with adverse weather? (who has a choice?)
Or do you complain when it is too hot or too cold outside?   (yes I complain all the time about it)
Are you an outdoors female? (a bit)  Are you a happy camper? (sometimes)
Do you do your own electrical wiring and your own drywall? (see above for men doing those things for me)

How many females into bdsm are vegetarians? (who knows)  How
many vegetarian females seek a mate who is also
vegetarian? (I am not so NA)

How many females into bdsm are commitmented to
rescuing animals, helping orphans, and all humans
in need of help? (I am)

How many females into bdsm are bi? (I have been with women, but don't label myself)  If you are bi,
does your ideal family unit contain a female besides
yourself.  (not poly so NA)

Anyone have recipes for mushroom barley soup,
butternut squash soup, tomato soup, bean soup,
onion soup, or any other vegetarian soups? ( I don't cook, the guys cook or I make reservations and I hate mushrooms)

I work on cars, do carpentry & elecrical work both 12 volt and 110. I just got done spending 8 years working cattle up in the mountains of Wyoming wherre I lived without water, electic or a phone for 5 months of the year.

I would love a slave that was a vegetarian although  I am not. I eat meat because being a vegetarian did not allow me to get as muscular as I want to be.

Helping animals is a big part of my life, but helping old people is a BIG one for me.

I considered myselve a Lesbian most of my life but am finding that because of the lifestyle I can be comfortable mentally, emotionally & sexually with a male.  I would love both a male & female slave in my house.

Come cook me some of that suop once you learn the recipes :)

I'm more androgynous -- high masculine and high feminine traits.

Those seem like odd questions to lump together too.

I wonder how many females into bdsm are tomboys,

Define tomboy. If this means I like doing classically "manly stuff", then I suppose so. I can do anything, given enough time and proper instruction. So, I can tune my car AND sew a slip cover.

quote:

who don't mind working on cars and fixing air conditioners?

I fix stuff every day. It's my job. I don't necessarily get dirty or greasy doing it, though. I only have to pack a bearing about once a year.

quote:

Do you like camping?

I didn't much as a kid. I haven't been since, so I don't know if I really enjoy it or not. Nature is nice, though, and I'm much more in tune with it than when I was a kid. It might be fun now. I still remember a few campfire meals from Girl Scouts.

quote:

Are you afraid of bugs?

Eh, not really. The secretaries often call me in to stomp on them. I'll kill them if they're in the house, but outside, I prefer to watch them go about their business. Over all, I'd rather watch them, or, if I have to, kill them, than have them on me. Not so much a fear as a dislike of the feeling on my skin. Inchworms are cool, though. Ticks are not.

quote:

Do you like science fiction?

Love it!

quote:

Can you put up with adverse weather?

Depends on if I have to be out in it for all day and night for days at a time. Simply enjoying the weather while I go about my normal day is nice. I love listening to the rain patter on my skylights...or on a tin roof. I love the snow, mostly because we don't get much and it's still a novelty. Fall is my favorite season.

quote:

Or do you complain when it is too hot or too cold outside?

Again, it depends on if I have to be out in it. I usually don't any more...but since I lost a lot of weight, I'm much more heat tolerant. I've always been fairly cold tolerant, but I've lost some of that. But, that's what clothes are for...and leather.

quote:

Are you an outdoors female?

Not really, although I enjoy nature.

quote:

Are you a happy camper?

Meaning "Do you have a positive attitude and are satisfied with life?"
Yes.

quote:

Do you do your own electrical wiring and your own drywall?

Yes. Installed a garbage disposal just the other day. I think I might have to replace the guts of my toilets soon. I help my parents build a house from ground up as a teenager. I repair most things in my house, but if it's a serious project, I'd rather hire someone who does it on a consistent basis. It's often simply faster.

quote:

How many females into bdsm are vegetarians?

I'm a carnivore.

quote:

How many vegetarian females seek a mate who is also vegetarian?

As long as I get my meat protein without comments from them, I don't care. If they comment about ethics, I have a tendency to piss them off with statements like: Vegetables are just easier to hunt.

quote:

How many females into bdsm are commitmented to rescuing animals, helping orphans, and all humans in need of help?

I'm a sucker for an abandoned kitten. Other than that, I donate to United Way at work.

quote:

How many females into bdsm are bi?  If you are bi, does your ideal family unit contain a female besides yourself.

I am. Yes.

quote:

Anyone have recipes for mushroom barley soup, butternut squash soup, tomato soup, bean soup, onion soup, or any other vegetarian soups?

Get a Betty Cocker Cookbook. There's soups of all kinds in mine.

i do hope this isn't another research project.. which would make the better program, reality tv "Bi FemDoms cook soup ~Bam!"   or  "Tomboys who like science fiction, this week on Montel"

Why would liking sci fi be linked to tomboyishness?   Almost all the submissives i know are into sci-fi..

  • A lot love star trek because of the obvious rank and structure with overtones of serving a higher purpose.  That same thought process might draw in Dommes too..
  • Some like sci-fi because they get off on a really scarey movie.  Alien, Predator..
  • Some dislike it all because they prefer human time and TV or theatres distract from their face to face time with the people in their lives.

What could be the point to this question?

I have to say that I pretty much can reflect what Lashra and LA have said. I don't even understand how the term "tomboy" applies anymore. I was not a girly girl when I was young at all. I prefered to be outdoors with nature and the animals. I was not fond of dolls except my Calamity Jane doll who was sooooooooo not Barbie, she was into kicking Barbie's ass! And Bart, well he was just around for the dirty work.
Yet now, I simply adore being a woman! I love to put on a beautiful dress, heels and jewelry and go out. I think that tomboy is just an outdated term. Now, as women we can have it all, jeans and playing in the dirt then silk and perfume.
To answer the science fiction question. I never liked it at all, I prefered Gentle Ben, a John Wayne movie, or a great old classic musical.

I liked the original StarTrek, particularly some of the novels.  I like StarWars.  I also love musicals and 'old' TV shows like Donna Reed, My Three Sons, Welcome Back Kotter, and a plethora of others.

Gawd...  I HATE Barbie with a passion.  My parents gave me one, but I was never very enthused about it.  My grandmother seemed to adore sewing clothes for it, so... whatever.  I let her.  I prefered my hotwheels cars.  I even had a little K.I.T.T car from Knight Rider.  I loved that show.  I also had a ton of plastic dinosaur toys.  I beat up boys when I was in elementary school.

I climbed trees (still do sometimes), competed in foot races, and captured bugs using a butterfly net.  I had a female praying mantis for a pet for a few months before I let her go.

Does all of this make me a tomboy, or just an active person with a lot of interests?  I like dressing up and looking sexy once in a while, too.  I have good manners.

I'm just me.  There is no other exactly like me.  I'm okay with that.
