It takes a very strong person to submit. A weak person CANNOT do this.   It has nothing to do with being worthless.  Humiliation plays a big part in submission,  but its a mind game.  Subs need to be reassured of their worth, and know that its all play in a scene.   But the submissive has to have a confident self image.

I need that person in my life to be my rock and my strength. An extension of myself to make my life easier.   A good submissive is the most cherished thing.  Its a power exchange,   and the submissive holds all that power.  They decide who and when to give it.   Many dominants forget this.  So many people mistake submission as a sign of weakness.   And that couldnt be further from the truth.

Ok granted I am a newer sub. I can tell you I for one have never felt any feelings of worthlessness when submiting to my master. I mean I do feel absolutly horrible when I fail him but I try my best and that's what he asks of me so I love every moment we have together. So when I submit I am very happy and gratified to say the very least.

If it's just a mindset of slaves that you are looking for than I can say in my experience that when I was once close to depression that submiting to somone was the farthest thing from my mind It was only long after I had built myself up and grown to appreciate myself for who I am that I discovered my submissive nature. Granted I have to trust somone before I can submit but I do become quite attached and while I wouldn't say slave are needy exactly I think we bring the other piece to a relationship that we are needed by our masters as they need us. But these are my expieriences so chose to skip over anything you'd like.

Bullshit, that it takes a very strong person to submit. A total doormat can do it easily.

What it really comes down to, is this. Do the perceptions of worth MATCH?
