RepublicanBDSM -> Our great nation is facing an epidemic (9/16/2006 9:14:07 PM)

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which It stands, One Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all"
Our great nation, the United States of America, has for the past 230 years stood for freedom and democracy around the world.  For those 230 years we have not cared what the rest of the world thought about our defense of the those ideals which we hold dear. Thousands of Americans have died wearing the Stars and Stripes on their shoulders.
Yet now we have a disease in this country that is causing people to try and change that.
The disease is called Liberal politics. The symptoms are very severe. They cause the affected individual to always blame the United States of America for every problem in the world. The disease is so far developed in some that they will stop at nothing to find fault in this country.  Three prime examples are John Kerry, Cindy Sheehan, and Michael Moore. Though there are many more. These people will go to military funerals and infront of grieving parents, spouses, and children, will protest this war. but they dont stop there, many have been known to say things like: "Your son is going to hell" "thank god your son is dead" and many more things along those lines.
These people are incapable of seeing the evil of our enemies. If a terrorist blows up a school bus, it's our fault for forcing them to do it. If they behead an American Journalist on international TV, it's our fault for forcing them to do it.
And why is it wrong to use whatever means necessary to break those who we capture? The information we gain from those men save thousands if not millions of lives.
These sick individuals will blame the Government for all the American deaths, and at the same time blast the government for taking measure to save lives.
Do not be angry at these afflicted souls. pity them, and if possible help them, cure them by showing them the light, show them the truth. This disease need not be terminal, it can be cured.

God Bless America

Because the people who really interrogate captive terrorists think the "whatever means necessary" approach doesn't work.

No...the disease is called CORRUPTION and PERVERSION of what the founding fathers intended..AKA a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC.

What we are..is a BIG...BUSINESS....DICTATORSHIP.

So, if you see them....throw a diarrhea filled pie at Bush and Cheney.

juliaoceania -> RE: Our great nation is facing an epidemic (9/16/2006 9:19:46 PM)

When you get the camps ready for the liberal scourge and get all the traitors rounded up you will be "safe", now mind you, most of us did not vote for GW (I am factoring in third party votes and those who did not vote at all), so your camps will be very full.

sharainks -> RE: Our great nation is facing an epidemic (9/16/2006 9:38:58 PM)

Sorry, I think GW is a nutcase.  The Geneva Convention was put in place for a number of good reasons and now he thinks that the US should be able to interpret it as they so choose.  At least the terrorists aren't quite such hypocrits as GW.  Its getting pretty bad when Colin Powell even has to stand up against the ideas our President is coming up with. I personally think Colin Powell is correct.

GW wants to present our "efforts" over there as the high moral ground and yet out of the other side of his mouth thinks its ok to forget about that high ground when it suits his purposes.  If we want to continue to present the US as a civilized country then we need to act like one.

"They cause the affected individual to always blame the United States of America for every problem in the world."

   I just blame GW Bush.
Dubya isn't interested in democracy and freedom. He wants to be the supreme ruler. What the rest of the world thinks doesn't matter, except that being respected as a nation is far better than being hated as one. The current administration has done much to alienate the USA from other nations, as well as from the American citizens.
Liberal politics isn't to blame any more than conservative politics. The problem of the nation is in the hands of it's leader, and during the course of his presidency, i feel that our safety from terrorists has not improved. Nothing has improved. He is responsible.

I find it entertaining that you would print the pledge of allegiance to the flag rather than quote the constitution. The pledge was written by a socialist who used it as part of his sales pitch to get schools to buy flags ... so it is a socialist liberal creation...chuckles

Wow, if you replaced the word Liberal with Jew I would think we were back in pre-WWII Germany! BTW, are you railing against liberal economics or social policy.. because when it comes to economics George Bush is up there with Neo Liberal free trade capitalism with a capital "L".

I found it interesting that two out of three of these people actually sacrificed something for this country, and your demonization of them says worlds about you, and nothing about them... you get your kid sent home in a bodybag I might take you somewhat seriously..

Funny, never heard anything like that from them, and I ought to know, Cindy Sheehan is a hero of mine. The other two I am dubious of

Whose lives are being saved in Iraq?

btw, I think I will keep my disease, which is knowing a little objective reality, which while painful and depressing is a lot better than being a mushroom: Kept in the dark and fed lotsa bullshit

God Bless Everyone.. we have not trademarked Him... yet

While mister republican makes some valid points, the above-mentioned isn't among them. Presenting radical right garbage doesn't help your cause.

slavebianca -> RE: Our great nation is facing an epidemic (9/17/2006 3:45:22 AM)

Hey RepublicanBDSM your believing a lie. There are no liberals with enough power to change any laws or dictate how gov does ANYTHING! The country is ran completely by republicans!
But because Rush  and Hannity get paid  to spout out that the invisible "liberals" are at fault you believe them.  Learn to think for yourself.

meatcleaver -> RE: Our great nation is facing an epidemic (9/17/2006 4:00:07 AM)

If you go around the world meddling in other people's affairs without just cause and with purely selfish interests at heart, people aren't going to like you. We Brits learnt that long ago which is why the majority are pissed off with Blair being a deciple to a messianic Bush. Since these politicians liberally spout off about freedom, justice and civilisation, is it any wonder that the world judges them according to those standards? Politicians have always been good at sacrificing lives for their flawed, ill thought out and corrupt policies. To call people who oppose such politicians deseased is to reject the cure.

Someone please tell me this is part of a comedy sketch then I won't feel so guilty for laughing my arse off.

caitlyn -> RE: Our great nation is facing an epidemic (9/17/2006 5:36:47 AM)

The only epidemic facing our nation is people that can't seem to discuss issues, but instead must mass-categorize, and engage in deflection tactics.

This leads us to elect, not the sort of people for which much can be said ... but to elect those for which little can be objected.
