This is for those pro-Bush parties to state how they have benefited from George being president.  He hasn't done much for me lately...

There has GOT to be a positive for so any devote republicans.  I don't want generalities.. I want to know what he has done for YOU.. How has he effected your wallet or lifestyle.  Here's a spot for you to sing his praises.

Nothing, well there was that diamond ring from the war budget proceeds, but wait.......that is just part of our ever increasing national debt. So, I go back to nothing.

Well, I look at it as more of what good has he done for the country. Two things stand out. One was tax cuts. And the other is that he actually has taken the fight to the islamo fascists.
On the other hand, I wish he didn't spend like a Democrat, and I wish he would do something about the border.

Your pointless partisan crack aside, you don't think those two very things form a contradiction?

A. Where will this precious tax cut money go? To the wealthiest paid for by the middle class.

B. Who will get saddled with it? Future generations and certainly the next few presidents.

So I guess economics is not your strong suit. May I ask what is? Your area of competence has managed to elude me.

I don't need to be an expert on economics. I just need to listen to what most economists say about tax cuts. It usually has a positive impact on the economy. In case you haven't noticed, the economy is doing quite well.
And unlike you, I don't blindly repeat the mantra that only the wealthy benefit from tax cuts. Everyone who pays taxes benefits. Now it seems logical to me that the more taxes you pay, the more you benefit from a tax cut. Do you know the percentage of taxes the wealthiest pay compared to everyone else? For your homework, look that fact up, genius. You may find that when you avoid mindlessly spouting rhetoric that belongs on a bumpersticker, and check what the facts really are, you may learn something.
And one more thing, this President is actually spending more than a Democrat. Look that up too.

Personally the tax cut did me a little good, as to who's going to pay for it, Well if the Government would have the balls to cut spending at the same time then maybe it would be less of an issue. Obviously they Republicans have forgotten their smaller government plank from years gone by. And I sinply don't buy the ballance the budget cries from the Democrats who had 50 years controling the house and never wanted to do it until now.

BTW as predicted INCREASED REVENUES have followed the Tax Cuts the deficit is reducing even without cuts as the revenues increase, Now if they can only resist the temptation to spend it. (HA HA HA HA like that's gonna happen with either party)

I really don't want this thread to be a battleground.  I am sincere in asking my question. It's also  way to get people actually thinking how they PERSONALLY have benefited.

If your taxes are cut.. I'd like to know what class you consider yourself... upper..lower.. what.  I'm not looking for generalities or a chance for flag waving.

I can just as well do a post on how George has F*ked up your life.  and in that also.. how is it PERSONALLY affecting you.  Generalities are ambiguous- let's get specifics.

Well, you didn't do your homework, so here is a link that will help you understand how we all benefit from tax cuts. And it also explains how this president is spending like a Democrat. I would think that would be a plus in your eyes, but you probably aren't even aware of it.

A report by the General Accounting Office 2005 found that the federal income tax cuts produced higher taxes at the state & local level more then offsetting any savings. The taxes were found to be mostly in non-income related fields [sales tax, energy tax, property taxes & fees], taxes that it the lower incomes disproportionatly. Most of what I hear from Dubya supporters here is that he is bad but [fill in the blank] would be worse. Hard to argue with a subjective evaluation of something that didn't happen.

"The Bush Tax Increase"
http://www.americanprogress.org/site/pp.asp?c=biJRJ8OVF&b=34039

DEFICITS MEANS TAX INCREASES TO COME: Reagan supply side guru Bruce Bartlett "is beginning to sound the alarm that Bush's tax-less, spend-more budgets are unsustainable and will force the president to raise taxes." As he says, "These tax increases, when they come, are the result of conscious deliberate decisions this Administration made." His bet for next year or the year after: "A tax increase of more than $100 billion a year." [Source: Wall Street Journal, 2/19/04]

How have I personally benefited from The current administration?

Well I has restored faith in the office.  Regardless of whether or not I have agreed with the policies and actions of the President aside.  (there are many of both)  Bush has not operated on the politics of the polls.   He has stood fast against the odds wiht his beliefs.  That shows strong character.  I don't believe beliefs should be measured in polls, but in actions (which I sometimes disagree with).

I also benefited personally from the Tax Cuts.   I didn't have to pay capital gains taxes when I sold the house I won in a divorce.  Made it much nicer on me.

I also believe that both these points come from the Kennedy Administration.  Stand fast, stand tall, be true to your beliefs, regardless of the polls.

"I am steadfast & resolute, I will stick to my beliefs no matter what the evidence." , I think the Captain of the Titanic said that.

Government revenue since the tax cuts has GROWN just as it has with every major tax cut since Kennedy's.
1.75 trillion at the point where it was signedin 2003 to 2.15 Trillion for 2005.
I keep hearing about places where the State raised their taxes in response and wonder what their State budgets look like?
Here we held the line on taxes for the most part at the state level and had a Governor who turned a uge deficit into a Surplus in the 600 million range.
If you bother to keep up with it you find that the date the budget gets back to ballance with the tax cut is moving steadily back towards us.
They said 12 years out and 2 years later it's about 8 years out. Funny how that math works.

Yeah.  Those bastards Clinton and Gore equalized the budget deficit, and were well on their way to balancing the budget.  All this while building a military that could be used by a criminally incompetent commander in chief to invade sovereign nations overseas with a minimum of muss and fuss and death on our side.  Balancing the budget becomes a problem when an entity has borrowed money that has to be paid back.

In order to fund his war and his tax cuts, Bush simply borrows money from the Chinese and prints more to pay it back.  The down side of this for you and I is the money we earn working for a living is now worth less.  The word for that is "inflation."

What is odd about the rest of the post is the fact that the Reagan
and Monkeyboy eras showed the most rampant deficit spending
in our countries history.  Now I would listen to the nonsense spewed by some people about the Democrats being profligate
spenders, but with a Republican president and both houses
controlled by Republicans, our government has succeeded in doubling the national debt and are well on their way to tripling it.

I have to agree with the poster who stated that some people
will believe anything regardless of the empirical evidence to the
contrary.

Just me, etc.
