WhyteRavenne, I have no problem with the form of introduction that you suggest, and that's exactly how I respond to subbies. If we don't know each other, and I'm writing to a subbie, what right do I have to make any demands of her? As far as she is concerned I am just a person who identifies as a Dom - that certainly does not make me HER Dom, and hence does not bestow any right supon me to treat her as MY sub, and to have expectations let alone make demands. I become her Dom if and when she accepts me, and I have to earn that right. In the eyes of some subs, that might make me some sort of wimp, but if they don't understand where I am coming from, they are certainly not right for me! On the other side of the coin, just today I wrote to a sub on this site who wrote to me using the formal "this girl" type language. I put it to her that it was inappropriate for her to speak to me that way as there is nothing between us and we don't even know each other yet. I said that I would be a lot happier if she confined herself to the normal language between ordinary people at this stage of our communications (unless she felt a need to write in those terms). So it goes both ways... Bosscocky
